I have to say that PaperTrey Ink's stamp set "Friendship Jar" is one of my all time favorite sets. Betsey Veldman recently made a card using this set and I just had to make one! Here's a close up of the jar. The "Happy Birthday" image is clear embossed on the vellum, making it look like the wording on an old Ball jar. It was a little hard to get it to show up in the photo's but you can see it. If you check out Betsy's link above, you'll see her beautiful creation good and clear! Thanks for visiting! Blessings~ Birgit
Betsy Veldman blew me away with her challenge this week over at Nichole's blog. The challenge was to take die cut words and make them look 3-D. I have to admit I was a bit intimidated watching Betsy's video and wasn't sure if I was going to join in but my creative side got the best of me. I'm glad I tried it. Here's my card:
This month's blog hop over at Nichole's blog for PaperTrey Ink, are having a color challenge. I love when they have a color challenge because they put together the most beautiful color palette's to choose from. This card is also being entered into the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club and A.R.T. Card Challenge. For A.R.T. the card is turned in the other direction, but I think it will still count. Thanks to CherCroppin' for letting me know about the challenge.
The stamp sets I used were: FROM PTI ~ Postmarks Background Basics & Postmarks. FROM MFT ~ Thankful Leaves and die cuts and the sentiment is from an old Cornish Heritage Farms set called Silhouette Blooms. The colors I used were from this color palette:
