12 Kits of Occasion ~ April

Happy day!  It's the end of April and that means it's time to share my cards using this months kit, which was put together by my dear friend Kara from Bright Hope Creations.
Her kit is titled "For The Graduate" and it was filled with fun elements to celebrate the Graduate.

I'll waste no time and jump right in with my cards.  This female grad silhouette is jumping for joy!

This image from Stampingbella from the "Uptown Girl" series is called Grace The Graduate.  She is so sweet!  I'll be saving this card for my neice when she graduates from college in 2022.  Wow!  That seems a long time away.

This little elephant from Lawn Fawns Wild For You set makes a cute little grad.  He is encircled in the Congratulations Circle Frame from Simon Says Stamp.

Kara's kit included all the elements to make this colorful shaker card.

Kara took the time to make these awesome tassles out of DMC embroidery floss.  They're wonderful!!  Thank you so much Kara for a fun-filled kit!

I hope you'll visit the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how my talented teamies were inspired to use Kara's kit.

Thanks for stopping by!

So many moments of, "now why didn't I think of that?" going on in my brain as I scroll down your post of amazing cards, Birgit! I love the bold look of the white silhouette on the black! Your coloring is so gorgeous - Grace the grad never looked so good! I love how you gave her a blue background too. The graduating elephant is perfect with the circle word die cut, and I "heart" the heart background! Such a beautiful wash of color in your shaker card, and the way you cut out the tassel/hassle panel is genius! So cool the way you wrapped the tassel onto the card too! Such a treat from start to finish!

You didn't need to make any more than 5 cards Birgit because each one is FABULOUS!! I love your 1st card with just the strip of rainbow paper and the silhouette against the black...so striking! And your 2nd card is colored to a "t"!! I can't believe how great you made all the folds in that gown look...incredible coloring skills there my friend! And your elephant card is just as sweet as can be and also beautifully colored! And you know I LOVE shaker cards and this one is so bright and colorful that it totally makes me smile!! And your last card is perfect in it's simplicity and just perfect for a guy graduate! And of course that wonderful tassle just really kicks it up another notch!! You did a FABULOUS job on all these cards my friend!! :0)

Awesome job with Kara's kit, Birgit! Using the strip of rainbow paper on your first card is was such a great idea. It looks perfect with the silhouette girl on black! And I'm in awe of your coloring on the Stamping Bella image. Gosh, the folds in her gown look amazing! I saved mine but don't know that I could ever do such wonderful coloring. The sweet elephant graduate is so adorable and I love the bright colors. Your shaker is fabulous as is the fantastic tassel design. Wasn't this a fun month!!
