So here's another card I made for the Make it Monday challenge over at Nichole Heady's blog. The challenge was to create a collage background. Here's my second entry... (told you I was addicted) All supplies are from PaperTrey Ink. Background Basics Script Style, Banner Builder, Half & Half, Over Under Easy, Tea for Two Additions. Colors are Fine Linen, Melon Berry, Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist and black. Thanks for visiting! Blessings~ Birgit
The folks over at the My Favorite Things blog is having their monthly guest designer challenge. Following the sketch, here is my entry for this challenge. Unfortunately, I was in need of a Sympathy card so I wanted this card to have a bit of a nostalgic, vintage-y feel. I used the Inspired by the Front Porch, Tulip image and used some printed papers I had on hand. I added a bit of vintage lace and some gems. I didn't want it to be too flashy but elegant. Thanks for looking! Blessings~ Birgit
Today's challenge over at Nichole Heady's blog focused on creating a collage background. Dawn McVey gave an awesome video tutorial on how to build your collage background. All I can say is.... I'M ADDICTED!!!
I've always liked the look of a collage background and have tried it myself once, maybe twice. But, today's tutorial really helped me think outside the box! I couldn't wait to get to my craft room, still in my pj's and slippers and start creating. Here's my take on the collage background. As you can see, I didn't deviate much from Dawn's design. Here is the inside of the card: Since the card base was made using Winter Wisteria, I opted to add a white writing space and dress it up a little. All supplies used are from PaperTrey Ink. *Ink Colors ~ Fine Linen, Winter Wisteria, Lemon Tart, Limeade Ice, Spring Moss, Dark Chocolate & black (embossed) *Stamp sets used ~ Background Basics Text Style & Tin Type, Think Big Favorites #13, Postmarks, Rosie Posie & Birthday Basics *Cardstock used ~ Winter Wisteria & Soft Stone
