Easter Peek-A-Boo Book Card

Good morning friends.  I'm back again, with more Easter cards.
I know.... two days in a row!  Right?

I enjoyed making these book cards so much!  I purchased the Have A Spine die from The Greetery before Christmas and made a few Christmas cards using it, but I just had to make more Easter cards.

I cut an oval out of the center of the book cover and framed it with the lovely medallion from a set called Frames & Tags: Zoe, from Creative Expressions. The lily is from Papertrey Ink.  You can see the vellum layer through the oval, which I'll get to in a short minute.

I heat embossed the spine of the book using the same stamp I used on the previous book cards that was recently posted.  That is a super old stamp from Crafty Secrets.

Here is the vellum page, stamped with the Hymn Song stamp from The Greetery.  I love how you get a dreamy view of the next page through the vellum.

And here is the stamping on the back page.

All together, I think it's a wonderful card to celebrate our Savior and His victory over the grave.

I made the same card using a different color for the spine of the book.

And two more cards using different lilies.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Double D Challenges ~ Easter / Church / Cross

Simone Says Monday Challenge ~ Beautiful Blooms
Time Out Challenges ~ In The Clear

Thanks for stopping by!

The front of the card is soooo pretty with the lilies, and the vellum layer with one of my most favorite hymns, and then the back page...all combined to create a FABULOUS card my friend!! LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)

  8. These are absolutely gorgeous, I do love the use of the vellum inside to give the hint to what is behind it, great job of stamping the hymn on the vellum!

  9. So beautiful, Birgit! The stamped sentiment on the spine is perfect, and I love the peek through the framed opening. The vellum page is so lovely (the stamp is amazing), and such a nice effect that it's a whole vellum page on it's own and that you turn the page and have a full view of the lilies and sentiment. A work of art!
