Good morning ~ It's the first Tuesday of the month so that means it's time for a new Elizabeth Craft Designs Design Team Challenge. This month's theme is called "Being Negative". When used in crafting, this is the only time that I think being negative can be a positive thing. So let's use the negative portion of our die cuts to get creative!
I started by cutting a Dotted Scallop Oval out of Celadon Green Soft Finish Cardstock and then cutting the Leafy Branch #5 out of the center of that. I then created a shaker by using a piece of Clear Acetate and double sided foam tape to create the shaker and adding tiny seed beads into the negative space. The shaker is backed with a piece of True Green Soft Finish Cardstock.
I cut a set of Roses from Perfect Pink Soft Finish Cardstock and added a bit more color using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. The sentiment from General Sentiments is stamped onto a Stitched Fishtail Banner.
If you'd like to join in on the fun, visit the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog for more information and then get using those negative pieces! You could win a Background Die Prize pack which includes: heart background; circles background; chevron background and diamond background to 3 winners.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings~ Birgit

ReplyDeleteI will definitely have to look into this challenge as I love those background dies. Your card is perfect for so many occasions. Great thinking outside the box in making the greenery part into a shaker. You are the most positive person I know, Birgit; that's a wonderful quality to have.
