I was so inspired by the challenge going on over at Inspired By.
I love vintage linens. There's just something about the colors, the patterns and the kitchy designs that make my heart yearn for simpler times.
Inpsired by the colors in the inspiration photo, I turned to a few of my favorite vintage style stamp sets from Papertrey Ink.
Nostalgic Notions, Explore the 1940's and the strawberries from Still Life: Summer.
I added a metallic silver "fabulous" die cut and stamped the birthday greeting below.
And since I had this set out and hadn't loved it in a while, I created another card using these wonderful vintage stamps.
I hope you're inspired by these two cards today and hop on over to the Inspired By Challenge Blog to play along.
Thanks for stopping by!
This is gorgeous! Thanks for playing at Inspired By!
ReplyDeleteFun card, Birgit, and the colors you chose sure help it to look vintage! Have a super weekend friend!! Heart Hugs, Col
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness! These are really fantastic, great colors, great designs....BUT my most favorite part is the sentiment on that second card. I LOVE THAT HYMN....In The Garden, I will have it played at my funeral (I know that sounds morbid, but it's not, it's a gorgeous song!) LOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteDonna that was my Dad's favorite hymn and he requested it for his funeral too. It is a gorgeous song!
DeleteTHese are beautiful...they certainly do evoke that vintage linen feel! And I love the verse on the last one...from one of my favorite hymns!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so very beautiful! I do get that vintage feel too from them and that is part of their beauty for sure.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are so sweet Birgit! They make me think of tablecloths my mom had and used when I was growing up...how I wish now that she still had them!! Dawn McVeigh shows hers once in awhile and I'm always so jealous, because the patterns and colors are so pretty and just plain charming...just like both of your cards!! Well done my friend!! :0)
