Hello friends. I've been keeping quite busy working outside in the gardens and haven't spent a whole lot of time indoors, let alone in my craft room. We recently had a couple of rainy days that kept me inside, so I set to work in my craft space to add a few cards to my stash and perhaps put a small dent in the massive pile of design paper I've held on to for years.
I also recently purchased a few dies from Honeybee Stamps. This Lovely Layers Birdbath was one of them. I love feeding the birds and was quite taken by this recent release.
The embossed details on the birdbath, and the layered details give this a wonderfully realistic feel.
This Lovely Layers Topiary somehow made it into my cart as well. Funny how that happens. It's hard to see on the vase, but there's a pretty embossed detail. I used a textured cardstock to cut the vase out of, so it lost some of the detail. On smooth cardstock, the design really stands out well as you'll see in the photo below.
The sentiments were also pulled from various sets from PTI and Pinkfresh Studio.
I'm happy to have put a small dent in my patterned papers and added a few cards to my stash at the same time.
I'll be entering one of these cards into the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
A Cut Above ~ Anything Goes
Love Those Pretty Papers ~ (I did not use the option of "Wedding")

Such lovely cards Birgit! I love all four of them. I'm glad you've been able to get outside a bit, but so glad you were able to make these. And thanks so much for linking them up with us at Word Art Wednesday. We really appreciate seeing what you've been up to!
I should say you DID coordinate these papers beautifully! You know how I feel about designer papers and I love to see them on a card. I cannot keep up with my own Vast Hoard! Love the HB dies you used. That pretty pot could serve many purposes. Thanks for sharing this lovely collection of cards, Birgit!
You put those design papers to good use, Birgit! These are all lovely cards!
This is really soft and sweet, Birgit. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday. I'm always so super grateful to have you share your amazing art in our challenges. Blessings!
Wow, these are all gorgeous, Birgit! I really love that bird bath die cut. The pink and gold compliment each other so well and have such an elegant, fresh look. You made up for not being in your craft space for a while. Your projects are always lovely and so inspiring. Thank you for sharing with the June Challenge at A Cut Above.
Oh Birgit...all 4 cards are FABULOUS and I just love all the dsp you were able to put together so beautifully! And that birdbath is so you, so I can see why that jumped into your cart! Sweet, sweet cards my friend...I love them all!! Hugs. :0)
I too have been in the gardens, isn't it just glorious!!! These cards are magnificent, loving your choices of Designer Papers! That birdbath looks awesome! A few summers ago Penny and I made our own, using 3 different sizes of clay pots, 2 stacked upside down and a large one as the bath itself. She painted it, hand print flowers--you should make one with the grandchildren--so fun and a lovely accent in your garden. I'll send you a picture. I adore your cards! I adore that lemon topiary too--I gave Tom a lemon tree for his birthday in April. We have 2 teeny ones growing, the one before dropped off....so fingers crossed! Happy Crafting, Happy Gardening!
Birgit, I'd love to see your garden! We had a very weird Spring so ours is looking well behind the norm!
I love your new die sets - your papers are really beautiful and set the stage beautifully for your birdbaths and topiary!

Beautiful array of cards using your designer papers and dies, Birgit! I especially love that bird bath and your cards are so pretty with the mix of papers. xx
Gorgeous set of cards, you sure did have some pretty papers to work with her, the bird bath is so pretty and those sweet little birds, too cute. Neat detail on the vase and such pretty topiary, love the varrying colors of the leaves. Love them all!
Your cards are sooo pretty! I know what you mean about all the paper we have - glad you had a chance to get into your craft room and get creative!
