Hello Lovely!

It's been a minute since I've spent time in my craft room.  Card making has taken a back seat to seed starting indoors.  Spring is on the way, friends!

I did manage to get this simple but feminine card made.  This lovely embossing folder is called Chinoisery, from Honey Bee Stamps.

I rubbed just the lightest touch of color onto the raised parts using Distress Inks and added a sentiment that also came from Honey Bee Stamps.

A simple stitched rectangle frame from PTI framed the image so nicely.

I hope you're getting some spring weather where you are.  We got 2-3 more inches of snow last night, but I'm not letting that dampen my spring spirit!

Spring Has Sprung.... Well, Almost!

Hooray, it's March and spring is almost here!

In the spirit of spring, I made this cutie little 3D spring shadow box using printables I found on Etsy.

Isn't this bunny just the cutest?  The collection is from KB and Friends and you can find them on Etsy.

I was able to use up some old patterned paper around the outside of the box, and more printables inside the box, from the collection.  Do you see that cute little library card peeking out from behind?

You can see here how deep the box is, so there's plenty of space for adding more layers.
The box die is called Curio Box from Sizzix.  I tucked in some soft green crepe paper shred and a few little millinery flowers into the bottom of the box to give the bunny a resting spot.

The banner on top of the box is from the printable collection, while the flower is from Hobby Lobby.

We're so close to spring, yet we have snow coming almost every day this week.  But I won't let that dampen my spirits.  I'll keep enjoying spring inside until we can get outside.

I'll be adding this project to the following challenges:

Starfish Tunnel Card

Hello friends~ In an effort to use up the mounds of printed paper I have, I made this fun ocean themed tunnel card for the Cut It Up Challenge.  Their challenge theme is "By The Sea" and this card fits perfectly for their challenge.

I've had these beautiful ocean papers from Stampin' Up sitting in my pile for far too long, so I pulled out some sea shell and coral dies from various companies and went to work coloring all the little elements that would fill this tunnel card.

Making a tunnel card is a great way to use up printed paper.  Here's a close up where you can see all the layers, as well as the inside of the card.

I didn't have a chunky star fish die so I searched online for a free image and then printed the outline and fussy cut it.

I stamped the face using my favorite face assortment of stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps and then colored it in using copic markers.

There are so many cute faces to choose from in this set, and you can use these on so many dies, bringing things to life in a whimsical way.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:

JOY! ~ A Retro / Vintage Style Christmas Card

Good morning friends ~ I thought I'd pop on and share a cute, retro / vintage style deer card, which goes perfectly with the Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge as well as the Christmas Kickstart Challenge.

As many of you know, I love putting together bits and pieces of vintage style ephemera.  This collection of Simply Vintage "Holly Jolly" is jam packed full of fun pieces to play with.

This is an older collection from Simple Stories but you can still find some of the collection when you do an online search. I've had it for a while and still have so many wonderful dies left over for future projects.

Here's a bonus card using the same deer image.  He was just too cute not to use again.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
