Oh Crab!

Hello dearies!  A few weeks back, my sweet friend Marcia shared some cutie little crabs from Waffle Flower with me.  She's so good at sharing her toys.  Anyway, they've been sitting on my desk just waiting for me to get back in to my craft room.  When I saw the colors from Color Hues this week, I just knew I had to put those little crabs together and do something using their colors RED & BLUE.

The background dp is from Stampin' Up and the alphabet letters from from Scrapbook.com

I think I used the smallest crab in the bunch and made him look like he was grabbing the letter "b" from my sentiment.

The rest of the sentiment is inside the card.

I added a little red balloon from Elizabeth Craft Designs to add to the birthday message.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
Color Hues #116 ~ Blue & Red

Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Tropical Fun!

Hello friends~  Today's card is full of tropical fun!

I have a dear friend who loves pink flamingos and she just celebrated her birthday at the beginning of this month.

Every year I make her a pink flamingo card.  Sometimes it's a challenge to come up with fresh new designs for her, but this card ended up turning out super cute.

I used Marianne Designs Pink Flamingo Floatie paired with this leafy Sylvan Frame by Poppystamps.  I made it into an easel card for something slightly different.  I'm so glad to say she loved it.

I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Four Seasons ~ Summer Challenge

AAA Cards ~ Summer Activity

Hope you're enjoying some beautiful weather in your neighborhood.  It's been gorgeous here on the east coast.  Summer if fleeting by way too quickly.

A Pretty Gift Set For A Special Occasion

Good morning friends~  I made this gift set back in February, to celebrate a dear friends special day, and I never got around to posting it.  As it turns out my dear friend Marcia, over at Color Hues is starting a new challenge using these colors, so I thought this would be the perfect time to post this project.

The deliciously sized cupcake die is from Pretty Pink Posh.  I added some sweet polka dotted lemons from Spellbinders because every project should have some polka dots.

The treat box is made using a die from Sizzix.

I found this striped gift bag in my stash which coordinated perfectly with the papers and cardstock colors I used.  A simply doily bag topper and bow was all it needed.

And finally, a framed piece of artwork using stencils and dies from Altenew.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Color Hues ~ Blue & Yellow

Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Hi friends!  Poppystamps is starting a new challenge this month with a Clean and Simple theme and it's my turn to host.

I had the honor to invite a guest to play along.  It's my great pleasure to have as my guest designer, my dear friend Connie Griffin from Connie's Crafty Creations.  Connie and I go way back to working on the Dies R Us design team.  She's remained a constant friend and source of inspiration to me.
I do hope you'll join us over at Poppystamps Challenge to see some fun designs by teammates Allison and Lisa and my guest designer, Connie.  Thanks so much for joining us this month Connie!  Please visit Connie's blog and leave her some love.  This is a challenge you won't want to miss!

Playing Along With Color Hues

Hello friends~   I've been working outside in the gardens when the sun is shining, but it rained all day yesterday, giving me the chance to play with paper flowers in my craft room.  So, I'm popping in with a trio of cards I made using the colors Coral and Teal, from Color Hues Challenge

I don't know what the trick is to getting "real" color when photographing cards.  The coral colors look more orangey to me and the teal almost takes on a forest green color.  At any rate, they really are coral and teal colors.

I cut the arch using Scrapbook.com Nested Arches and put a piece of printed scrapbooking paper behind.  That color seems to display the coral color the best.  The Hellebores flowers are from Marianne Designs and the sentiment is a premade foiled sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio.

Since I cut out many flowers and leaves, I went on to make two more cards.

Happily using up more of that printed paper and some of the Pinkfresh sentiments.

I have a few flower gardens in my yard, but never have I grown Hellebore.  They're a super early spring flowering perennial.  I may just need to find space for them.   Until then, I'll enjoy making them with paper!

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Color Hues ~ Coral & Teal
Cut It Up ~ Send Me Flowers
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
