Apple Of My Eye ~ Double D Challenges

It's the first Wednesday of the month so that means it's time for Double D Challenges to start a new challenge.

The theme for this challenges is "Harvest", so anything that has to do with a fall harvest is going to give you a chance to win.

Apples are harvested in the fall so I brought out some older Spellbinders dies and made these three cards to send to my great little nieces and nephews.

I was also able to use up more printed paper so that's a win!

Here's the inspiration board:

And here's the prize you could win when you play along:

I hope you'll pop by the Double D Challenge blog to see more inspiration from my amazing team mates and join in on the fun!

Octoberfest ~ Double D Challenge

Good morning, friends ~ There's a new challenge starting up over at Double D Challenges and the theme is "Octoberfest".
My inspiration came from the bottom right corner, the bouquet with pumpkins.

I dug very deep into my older supplies to make this card.  The scalloped die cut panel is from Martha Stewart.  I stenciled the background using a basket weave stenci  and added a very old die from Die-namites called Pumpkin Harvest.

I die cut the pumpkin harvest die three times and layered it to add a bit of dimension.  I colored the negative pieces with copics and added them to the bottom layer.

The piece of twine adds texture and finished it off nicely.

I hope you'll stop by Double D Challenges to see more inspiration from my talented teammates and join in on the fun.
Here's what you could win when you play along:

ETA:  I'll be entering this card into the new Stencil Fun Challenge, hosted by two ambitious crafters and dear friends, Darlene & Diane.

Spellbinders Invitation ~ Happy Harvest Collection ~ Scare A Crow

Good morning friends~  I'm super excited to be bringing today's card to you featuring the adorable "Scare A Crow" die set from Spellbinders new release, "Happy Harvest Collection".

This entire collection was created by Nichol Spohr and she did not overlook a single detail.  I'm telling you, I wanted the entire release!

The scarecrow is so cute!  The scene is mounted on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock that I cut using Nestabilities Hemstitch Rectangles and mounted it on an A2 size kraft card base.   I've paired this handsome little fella with the basket and sign from the  Welcome Fall die set, which you'll see if you stop back by next Friday.  You'll also see more of the gourds and flowers in a future post as well.

Here is a list of products I used that can be found at Spellbinders:
