Spooky Jack Scarecrow

Hello friends~  I'm popping in today to share two cards I made using Elizabeth Craft Designs Scarecrow die set.

Is the Jack Scarecrow cute or what?  For the first card, I cut a panel of aqua colored cardstock using Paper Rose Pierced Rectangles and did a light stencil using a herringbone pattern in the background.  I adhered that panel onto a black postage rectangle and mounted it onto an A2 sized card base.  The little mice are included in the scarecrow set.  I thought they were too cute not to use.  I stamped some random stars using black ink and added a few details using a white gel pen.

I used a premade Scene Scapes background for the second card from Lavinia Stamps.  This card came together in no time!

Just a quick note to let you know that Scrapbook.com is currently having their Semi-Annual Die Cutting Sale.  Save up to 50% on die cutting and you get a FREE gift with your purchase.

Here's a list of supplies I used that can be found at Scrapbook.com

I hope you're all enjoying some beautiful fall weather in your home town.  Our leaves are at peak color right now and the days are gorgeous!  I'm taking advantage of the weather and getting out for a walk every day.

Dancing Bunnies ~ Dies R Us ~ Anything Goes

Happy New Year friends!  Today is a fresh start to a year that can be filled with all that you want it to be.  It's a new chance to change the things you want to change and take on a new perspective on life, living each day to the fullest.  I'm glad to put last year behind me with the hope that this year will bring blessings beyond what my heart could hope for.

It's also the start of a new challenge going on over at the Dies R Us Challenge blog, where the theme is "Anything Goes".
These little bunnies from Spellbinders are whooping up the new year!  I used a die from Paper Rose aptly called Party Under The Trees to create this totally whimsical scene.

I did some ink blending in the background using Distress Oxide inks and then splattered it with water.  Once dried, I adhered the die cut trees, twinkle lights and a star that comes in the set.
The playful bunnies are from Sending A Happy Birthday from Spellbinders.  I cut them from white card stock, turned one around so it faced the opposite direction and added some Gathered Twigs Distress ink and little red hearts.

I hope you'll stop over to the DRU Challenge Blog to see my talented team mates inspiration and then join in on the fun!  The winner will receive a credit to the Dies R Us store.
