Gingerbread Bakery

Hello to all!  I'm going to make an attempt to get all my Christmas projects posted and clean out my photo file.  Today's offering is a trio of cards made using Papertrey Ink's Gingerbread Bakery set.

I thought the chalkboard style stamp in this set makes the perfect menu board for all these yummy treats.

I bought this set last year and hadn't inked it up until this season of Christmas card making.  I added a tree from their Christmas Tree Farm set and the coffee cup is from my stash.  An older die from Impression Obsession.

The woodgrain background gives these cards a natural farmhouse look.

I had an extra chalkboard sign left over, so I added it to a snowflake embossed background and added some yummy desserts.

All sugared up!  The Plum Pudding is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and the pie is from Spellbinders.  These yummy desserts make my mouth water for something sweet.

I'll be entering one of these cards into the following challenges:

Cut It Up ~ Anything Goes
Christmas Kickstart Challenge ~ Anything Goes Christmas
Simon Says Monday ~ Cold & Frosty

Gingerbread ~ A Mini Album

Hello sweet friends!  I must have been obsessing on a sweet tooth when I made this Gingerbread Card because the ideas kept rolling around in my head, wanting to make more darling gingerbread themed things.

I made a mini album featuring more scrumptious gingerbread.  This giant mixing bowl made it's first appearance on the previous post for the Gingerbread card linked above.

I filled the bowl with a gingerbread man from Elizabeth Craft Design, a sugared up Candy Cane from Dee's Distinctively, a whisk from Spellbinders, some greenery and a ginger snap cookie.

I'm currently obsessed with the Gingerbread Baking Co. label from Blue Fern Studio.

A peek inside the mini album shows more fun gingerbread items, such as this fun little tea cup from Elizabeth Craft Design.  She's filled with hot cocoa and mini marshmallows.  The Hot Cocoa label on the right is a printable I found on Etsy.  The tab flaps open so you can add a photo and some journaling.

Look at what's hiding at the bottom of the tag!  A simple gingerbread cookie made using circle and scalloped circle dies from Spellbinders.  The faces are from Peachy Keen Stamps.  So fun!

Both of these pages have little tuck spots for photo's, ephemera or journaling.  Another one of those sweet printables from Etsy is tucked in on the right.  You'll see more on that below.

I found this polka dotted paper sack in my stash and made a little tag for more creative space.  The Plum Pudding is from Elizabeth Craft Design.

This is the little journaling booklet I made to tuck inside the tuck spot on the right side of the album, featuring another sweet gingerbread man from Cottage Cutz.

I adore how this mini album turned out, tied closed with a ginger spice plaid ribbon.

Warm & Cozy ~ Double D Challenge

Bundle up for the new Double D Challenge!  You're going to love the theme, it's "Warm & Cozy".

For today's card, I pulled out a warm and cozy embossing folder from Tim Holtz and and older PTI coffee cup die set.

I can't think of more sage advice than this.  Take each day as it is handed to you.  One cup at a time.

Diane put together this warm & cozy inspiration tile:
I was inspired by three of the four tiles.  Can you guess which ones?

And here's the prize that you could win when you play along.  I can't wait to see your warm & cozy project in the link at Double D Challenges.

I'll also be adding this card to the following challenges:

A Heartfelt Cup of Cocoa ~ Double D Challenges

Hello friends ~ Double D Challenges is starting a new challenge today and the theme is "Heartfelt".

I went clean and simple with my card for this challenge, using Mugs & Kisses dies from Honeybee Stamps.

I sugared up the whipped topping and marshmallows with a bit of glitter for added sweetness.  The sentiment is stamped using the Hug In A Mug stamp set.

It's not very often that I go this CAS, but I like how it turned out.

Here's the fantastic mood board to help inspired you and you'll be further inspired when you visit the Double D Challenges blog to see more amazing designs from the fabulous design team.

Here's the prize that you could win when you play along:

Do you decorate for Valentine's day??  The colors on the inspiration board also inspired this little heart banner I made to put over my mantel this hear.  I just loved all the colors and patterns.

Here's a close up of the second banner I added to this arched frame.

Hope you'll play along.  Have a wonderful week!

Morning Coffee ~ Scrapbook Pal

Nothing hits the spot like a cup of hot coffee or two (or three) in the morning, except for drinking that coffee with a friend or family member.

I had a great time pulling out the Hug In A Mug Honey Cuts, coordinating Hug In A Mug Clear Stamps and Friendship Frame Stencils from Honeybee Stamps, to create this sweet floral card for my coffee-loving daughter.

I started by stenciling this flowery background using Friendship Florals Frame Stencils in soft pastel colors.

I die cut the coffee cup using the Hug In A Mug Honey Cuts, using a piece of floral printed paper that I found in my stash.  I cut the spoon out of silver mirror cardstock.  Using the Hug In A Mug Clear Stamps, I lightly stamped the heart image to the inside of the coffee cup using white ink.

I layered the coffee cup over a scalloped oval that I cut out of a piece of vellum and added the sentiment.

I love how springy and feminine this looks.  I hope it brings a smile to my daughter's heart.

You can find all these products and more at Scrapbook Pal.

Hot Beverages ~ Double D Challenges

Good morning~ There's a new challenge starting up over at Double D Challenges, and the theme is "Hot Beverages".

Whether you like coffee, hot cocoa or tea, this challenge is for you!  I pulled out a few of my favorite dies to create this warm winter snack for you.

The coffee cup is an oldie from My Favorite Things, while the macaroon is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I added a little Christmas bauble from The Greetery.  Random glitter on the macaroon and ornament adds whimsy and a bit of texture.

Please stop by Double D Challenges to see more amazing inspiration from my talented teammates and join in on the fun.

Here's the inspiration block to help get you started:

Be Mine? ~ Double D Challenge

Hello friends ~  I'm back today with a card I made for the new challenge starting up over at Double D Challenge.
The theme for the next two weeks is "Hearts".
Now you may be wondering, where are all the hearts??

I took my inspiration from the top, right corner of the inspiration photo and used the Tea Cup from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  This is an older die and I think it's even retired now, but I'll always love the clean design and all the ways you can decorate it.

You may recall that I recently used this tea cup die to make tags this past Christmas (click HERE), where I hand drew on the faces.  I've since purchased a set of whimsical face stamps from Peachy Keen Stamps and I am enamored with how cute they all are!
So many sizes to choose from and all adorably sweet!

Here's the inspiration photo:
