Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #367 ~TROPICAL

Hi paper crafting friends~ It's time for a new challenge at
Here's this weeks inspiration and it's a tropical theme:

Our sponsor this week is Your Next Stamp and if you join the challenge, you could be the winner of a $25 gift certificate to their super fun store!!

Here's my card for this week's challenge:

I used the adorable frog from Your Next Stamp's Sticky Note for my card today and took my inspiration from the colors.  He's kind of tropical...  don't you think?

I stamped the frog and leaf image onto white card stock, die cut him out and colored him using copics.  I then added a thin layer of Glossy Accents on the frog to make him look slimy and then set it aside to dry because all frogs are slimy, right?

While my frog was drying, I cut a piece of soft yellow Bazzil card stock using Your Next Stamp's Curved Scallop Edge Die and ran it through my machine with a polka dotted embossing folder.

I then added some greens using a fern from Spellbinders and Elizabeth Craft Designs Leaf & Berry Branches.  I colored the leaf & berry branch with copics and added some yellow stickles to the berries.  I then assembled the leaves and sweet little froggie and leaf image and finished the card off using some Gumdrops from Your Next Stamp.

Here's a couple of bonus cards for you using this adorable stamp set!

A shaker card...

And a birthday card.

Be sure to stop by to check out all of the fun cards from the Cupcake Inspirations Design Team and join in on the fun!  Maybe you'll be their next lucky winner!

Seahorse Pop Up Card

Hello friends ~ I had a special request from a friend of mine to make a birthday card for someone who was turning 98 years old and this person loved the ocean.
Here's a list of what she wanted:
*the number 98
*ocean theme
*inside birthday sentiment to pop up

So with that criteria in mind I went to work and came up with this pop up birthday card.

I used Elizabeth Craft Design Seahorse, Seaweed and Shells to make this card.  The pop up sentiment on the inside is from MFT's Pop Up's Birthday.

I enjoyed making this card so much that I made another one in almost the exact design to send to my dear friend Marcia to thank her for being such a sweet friend.

I used the Simon Says Stamp On Edge, Thank You Die on the inside of this card.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge ~ Create A Scene
Dies R Us Challenge Blog ~ Water &/or Beach
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Simon Says Monday Challenge ~ Nautical / By The Sea

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit

Cards from 12 Kits ~ Coffee Theme

Hello friends~  I wanted to share the cards I made using Tracey McNeeley's kit   from 12 Kits of Occasion.  I was over the top, thrilled to be the winner of Tracey's kit back in May and once I received it I instantly fell in love with the color palette and coffee theme that Tracey chose.  It's a picture heavy post so I'll let the cards do all the talking.

Thanks so much Tracey for this fun kit and thanks Marybeth, since it was her blog that my comment was randomly chosen from to be the winner!
I made 7 cards in total but I still have some fun goodies left over to play with on future cards.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I sure love reading your comments and knowing you were here.  Blessings~ Birgit

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #366 ~ Color Challenge

Good morning friends~
It's time for a new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations
This week's challenge is being sponsored by Inspired By Stamping

There's a $25 gift certificate up for grabs this week so be sure to check out the challenge and join in on the fun!

Here's this week's sweet color inspiration!

And here's my card:

I started by stamping the image from PTI's Bundle of Love onto a white card stock panel that was cut using a stitched rectangle from MFT's Blueprints #20.  I colored the image in with copics and mounted a PTI Framed Out Die cut from black card stock.  I added some Elizabeth Craft Designs Leaf & Berry Branches that were colored with copics, with some Petal Pink Liquid Pearls added to the berries.  Next, I added a heart from MFT's Blueprints #27 that was also colored using copics and popped up with a piece of foam mounting tape to give it some dimension.  The sentiment from MCT Tweet Me is stamped onto an MFT Dimensional Banner.

Be sure to visit the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog to see all the other great ideas from the designers and play along in this weeks sweet challenge!
