Fairies are Dream Makers

Good morning crafty friends~  Today's card uses a new design from Stampingbella called "Tiny Townie Fairy Garden".  

I fell in love with those plump mushrooms and this darling little winged wonder!  I colored them up using copics and gave a healthy dose of WOS to the wings and the ruffles on her skirt.

Isn't that sentiment sweet?  It could be used for birthdays or just because.  You'll be seeing more of this little cutie patootie in the future!

Fall Pumpkins

Good morning friends~  Elizabeth Craft Designs just released a bunch of wonderful new products so today's card uses these festive Pumpkins.

Here's how I made it:

I started by embossing a Postage Stamp Rectangle onto a piece of A-2 sized white card stock.  I left the die in place and gently added Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio Oxide Ink.

I then cut the embossed panel using a Stitched Rectangle and mounted it on a top folding A-2 sized card base.

I cut the Rustic Ladder and Pumpkins (*NEW*)out of White Soft Finish Cardstock and colored them using Distress Inks.

Once the card was assembled, I added a Banner (*NEW*) stamped with a sentiment from the coordinating Banner Sentiments (*NEW*).

Guest Designing for Crop Stop

Hello friends ~ I'm so happy to be guest designing for Crop Stop Blog today.  Thanks so much Esther, for this fun opportunity!

I chose to do a little collage style card using lots of wonderful products found in the Crop Stop store.

I started by doing some ink blending for the background using Distress Oxide Inks in Fossilized Amber, Broken China and Wilted Violet, spritzing it with water mixed with a tsp. of bleach, as I continued to add color.  I just love the mottled look it creates.

I stamped this wonderful Heidi Swapp background stamp using Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.

I cut the panel using an Elizabeth Craft Design Stitched Rectangle and then sponged more Frayed Burlap around the outside edges.

I used Poppystamps Delicate Dogwood to cut one out of a scrap of background paper I had created previously that was left sitting on my table and one out of black cardstock.  I also cut the Elizabeth Craft Designs Small Butterfly out of the same.

I adhered the flowers on to the front of the card using Glossy Accents, shadowing the flower with the black die cut.  I layered the butterfly and added Black Diamond Stickles to the body.

The sentiment from Altenew's Fresh Freesia was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed using white embossing powder onto a scrap of black cardstock.  I raised it up just a tad by running a piece of chipboard that was cut slightly smaller than the sentiment strip and running it through my Xyron sticker maker.

Saying Thanks ~ Beach Style

Good morning friends.  Today's card was inspired by a trip to Florida that we took a number of years ago where I had brought home some beach sand, starfish and shells.  I put them into a mason jar and set a votive candle on top and gifted it to my daughter.  It was a fun way to make a pretty memento of our trip and it was functional as well.  

Here's a snapshot of the dies I used to create this:

I started by cutting the largest jar from the Poppystams Jar Collection and blending in some color while it was still in the die.  This gives the jar a clean border and adds definition to the jar.

I  cut the Frantic Stamp Tall Palm Tree with Fronds and the Memory Box Seaside Treasures out of Elizabeth Craft Designs White Soft Finish Cardstock and added color using distress inks and a blending tool.  If you haven't tried using the Soft Finish Cardstock yet, you really must.  The colors blend so smooth and easy and I love the texture!  I wish you could see it in the photo. 

Once the pieces were all colored, I assembled the contents inside the jar, popping a couple of the palm tree fronds up using foam squares for added dimension.

I cut the Marianne Designs Fishing Net out of kraft and adhered it to an A2 card front and trimmed the edges.

Once the card was assembled, I added a layered tag and some bakers twine to finish it off.  What a fun way to say "thanks" to someone special and preserve those precious summer memories!

Tons of Ombre Love

Hello friends~  I've just gotten my very first order in from Pink Fresh Studio and I couldn't be more thrilled with my new stamp and die sets!  

 This card was made using Love Scale.  Isn't that scale fabulous?  

 I stamped the image and colored it using Copic Markers in an ombre style knowing that I wanted to stamp the hearts using Hero Arts Ombre Ink.  I used the Light to Dark Peach color.  I then cut the image using the coordinating Love Scale Die Set.

I stamped a striped border along the bottom using Your Next Stamp Striped-tastic Edge and added a strip of black cardstock to ground the scale filled with Tons Of Love!!
I can see many things sitting on this scale from candles to fruit to Christmas trees!  What other ideas do you have?  I'd love to give them a try!
