Ahoy Bear!

Hello friends~ Today's card features this darling new set called Sailor's Life from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

ECD has a coordinating paper pack Sailor's Life to go along with these fun stamps.

I made a simple background using two of the patterned papers, cut using a Stitched Rectangle.

I colored each of the images using copics and then die cut them using various sizes of the Stitched Circles. This stamp set also has a coordinating die set but I was going for a different look.

I played around with designs and finally decided to go all out and use all three circles on one card.

The sentiment is from Ahoy Sentiments.  All these products coordinate perfectly with each other.

Frantic Stamper Guest Designer ~ Joy!

I am so honored to be guest designing for Frantic Stamper for the next three months!  Thanks so much to Fran and Kathy for this wonderful opportunity.  I couldn't be more thrilled!
Here's a card I made using the Penny Petals Card Panel (10329) in the background.  I covered an A-2 sized card front with double sided adhesive. I attached the Penny Petals Panel to the front and added Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter in all the negative spaces.  The background is really stunning!
I cut the Mistletoe (10327) out of white card stock and colored it in using Copic Markers.  I then pressed the entire Mistletoe into VersaMark ink and heat embossed it three times using clear embossing powder.  A gem was added to the center of the bow.
I finished it off with a double layer of "Joy" from Slender Peach & Joy (10344).

I hope you'll stop by Frantic Stamper to see all their newest products.  While you're there, drop by their facebook page and let them know what you think of my project.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

12 Kits of Occasion ~ September

Hello!  Hello!  Fall is definitely in the air here in Maine and Marybeth from Marybeth's Time For Paper  has put together a wonderfully festive kit for this months 12 Kits of Occasion.

Here's my cards:
Marybeth included these wonderful printed papers from PTI and this fun sentiment.  All I added was this darling little cup filled with a pumpkin spice latte from Darcie's Cookies and Cocoa.  It's actually a Christmas image but I covered the holly and berries with a couple of leaves that were in the kit and tried to make the peppermint sticks look like cinnamon sticks.  There's a heavy dose of Wink of Stella on the cinnamon sticks to sweeten them up a bit!
Next up is a shaker card.  Everything I used was included in Marybeth's kit.  Super cute!

Love this pumpkin cart from PTI. I'd love to have one sitting on my front porch to fill with the harvest of each season.

A pretty leaf image embossed on water color paper.  I used zigs to color it in and added a strip of gold, some paper from the kit and twine that was wrapped around the kit when it arrived.  Marybeth sure knows how to make a presentation!

Again, everything here was included in the kit.  I cut the scalloped edge out of the orange cardstock she sent.

These lovely leaves were colored using distress inks.  The rake was left over from a project last year.  I finally found a use for it!  I added some rain drops to finish it off.

I absolutely loved these images from Purple Onion Marybeth sent.  I colored them up using Copics and created a slider for these little fella's to ride their bike on.

  The sentiments are computer generated.

I added some Glossy Accents to the little frog to make him look slimy and gave texture to the little fox and scenery using a scrap of towel soaked with Copic blender.

What a fun, fun kit this was to work with!  Thanks so much Marybeth!  I'll enjoy using up the leftovers after I see all my friends cards.  I know I'll want to CASE them all!

Be sure to visit the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how the other gals were inspired by Marybeth's kit.

Joy! And Some REALLY JOYFUL News...

Hello friends~  I'm popping in with another card to enter in Darnell's 12th NBUS Challenge

I picked up this cute image from Santoro London Gorjuss  designs when I went to the Stamp / Scrapbook Expo in Mass. a few weeks ago.  Her name is Holly.  Isn't she cute?
They had all kinds of sweet designs but by the time I got to shop, she was the only one left so when I got home I looked them up online and found so many cute images and they're lesss than $2.50 at Scrapbook.com.

I made a tag to go along with the card.   The die cut "JOY" is from PTI.

I'll also be entering this card into the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

There's still time to play along with Darnell's challenge.  You can find all the details here.

Oh and if you can stay a little longer, I have some really JOYFUL news to share.  Our daughter and Son-in-law just shared with us last night that they are expecting a baby in May 2018!!  I can't even begin to express the joy, excitement and love that I feel toward this tiny little peanut.

I wish I could share the video that my son-in-law took  of my hubby and I while we opened the brown paper package tied up with string.  It truly is my favorite thing!!  Let's just say that there were many tears of joy and it took me hours to fall asleep last night from the excitement.  I'm pretty sure I fell asleep and woke up wearing the same smile.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit
