Celebrate Spring Tri-fold Card

Good morning and happy spring!  As I sit here typing, there is still snow on the ground and I just looked outside and guess what?  It's snowing!  I'm not going to let that get me down because I have spring in my heart and I'm celebrating it with this fun tri-fold card.

I used Art Impressions Celebrate Spring to make this interactive card.  

I'll confess up front that I bought this set over a year ago and have just opened the package to use it.  I was a little intimidated by it but once I opened it and followed the instructions, it was surprisingly easy and quick!

Yes!  The little door opens and you get a peek inside.  But wait!  It gets even better.  Let me open the door a little wider so you can have a closer look.

Yes!  The scene plays through the two front panels of the card into the back.  Here's a better look at the inside.

Is this little bunny cute or what??  I colored all the images with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils.  

 This is the inside.  Simple yet effective.

 I'm still learning to color and blend with the pencils so please be kind.

Snowy Days

Snowy days are good days to stay safe inside playing with paper! 

I've got three cards for you today for different challenges.  

Card #1 

 My first card is for the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge.  My dear friend Marcia is hosting this week and she chose this wonderfully colored inspiration photo:

Those colors!  Yes, please!!  I used one of those darling snowmen images from Art Impressions Sparkle & Cheer.  

Card #2 

This card is working double time for two challenges.

I was inspired by one of Melissa Phillips cards to create this card for PTI's Create Along With Us challenge.  It also fits in perfectly with Double D's Challenge this week drawing from the different colored aprons and the vintage mixing bowl as inspiration.  A Bowl of Sunshine is just what the doctor prescribed for snowy days!

Card #3

The last card was made for the Poppystamps Snow Day Challenge.  I used Poppystamps Stitched Majestic Mountains, Cute Fawn, Curious Fawn and Stitched Cloud Trio from Memory Box.  The little gift and sentiments are from Poppystamps Christmas Friends.

Two Cards.... Two Challenges

Good morning ~  It's not very often I get to post on a Saturday and I really should be outside painting our house but I'm popping in real quick to post two cards that I made for challenges this week.  If I don't post them now, I'll miss the deadline and that always seems to happen to me. So here I am with two cards for two different challenges.

 The first card is for the Make It Monday Challenge.  Dawn has us creating sentiment windows.  Her cards are always so inspiring and beautiful, I just couldn't let this challenge pass by!

I used Holiday Greens, Spruce & Sprigs and a sentiment from Happiest of Holidays.

My next card is for the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge using their sketch and this darling image from Art Impressions Sparkle & Cheer.
