Susan's Garden Azalea with Garden Pot ~ Spellbinders

Good morning crafty friends!  I've been spending as much time outside working in the flower gardens as possible when the sun is shining, but I was quite happy to take a break when these dies from Spellbinders arrived.  I was given the opportunity to work with these beautiful dies from Susan's Tierney-Cockburn, Nature's Botanical Garden Collection.

I chose the Azalea and Garden Pot with Lady Bugs to work with.  These flowers are truly stunning!  Note:  I did not add the lady bugs to my projects.

The background was made using Nested Postage Labels & Tags and Postage Numbers from the Bayfair by Rosie's Studio collection.  I created a collage style background by stamping images from Cathe Holden's Sign Here and Handle with Care.

The second card is much more clean and simple but equally pretty!

I love how gorgeous these flowers look when molded on a soft mat using a stylus ball tool from Susan's Ultimate Tool Kit.  The stamen have been fairy dusted with a bit of Yellow Paper Flower Pollen to give them a realistic look.

Here's a list of all the products I used that can be found at Spellbinders:

While typing up this post, our azalea bush was in full bloom.  It is stunning this year!

We had the blessing of babysitting our dear little "C" over Memorial weekend.  Here he is standing in front of the azalea bush, donning his red & blue to honor our veteran's and those who serve our country.

Winter Garden Release ~ Spellbinders

Hello everyone, happy Thursday!  I'm so glad you've stopped by!  Today's cards feature the wonderful new release from Spellbinder's called "Winter Garden" from Susan Tierney-Cockburn.

I'll jump right in to my first project.  I created the background for a slimline card using Hex Kaleidescope Slimline, in white on white.

I added Winter Garden "Winter Evergreen Foliage & Ladybug" branches and the bird from "Just A Tweet".

I heat embossed a sentiment from Christmas Time Sentiments in gold, onto a white strip of cardstock that I fish-tailed on each end, to look like a banner.  I love the simplicity of the Winter Evergreen Foliage & Ladybug die set, but since this is a winter / Christmas card, I chose to not use the ladybug.  ;0)

My second card features the Helleborus flowers, using the foliage from Winter Evergreen Foliage & Ladybug as a base for the floral vignette.

I tried to color the Helleborus similar to this photo that I found on the internet.

I used Splatter Embossing Folder on the printed paper in the background and Layered Mix & Match Sentiments for the greeting.

Thank you for spending part of your day with me.  I so enjoy reading your comments and knowing that you've stopped in for a peek.
I hope you enjoyed today's projects.  You can find the entire new release at Spellbinders and take a peek at what's COMING SOON.  I've listed links to the products below for your convenience.  Hope to see you again soon!

Spellbinders Invitation ~ Susan's Garden Club ~ Oriental Lily & Wellies

Hello friends~
Gardening is one of my passions so I was super excited for the chance to work with this new release from Susan's Garden Club for Spellbinders.

I chose Oriental Lily & Wellies to create a Gardener's Gift Set.
This gift is earth friendly, as it uses a recycled produce carton from my local grocery store.  I added a bar of homemade goat's milk soap that my daughter and I make, a nail brush, deep penetrating hand butter and a lotion from B&BW (because the label coordinated so perfectly with the wellies).

I cut the wellies and several lilies out of Canson 140# Coldpress Watercolor cardstock and painted them using Gansai Tambi water colors from Kuretake.  The freckles are made with medium brown paint splatters. I assembled the flowers according to the video tutorial found HERE. They were very easy to assemble! If you look closely, you'll see that I added some yellow pollen to the stamen of the lilies.

This is a cute and quick gift idea.
