A Pretty Gift Set For A Special Occasion

Good morning friends~  I made this gift set back in February, to celebrate a dear friends special day, and I never got around to posting it.  As it turns out my dear friend Marcia, over at Color Hues is starting a new challenge using these colors, so I thought this would be the perfect time to post this project.

The deliciously sized cupcake die is from Pretty Pink Posh.  I added some sweet polka dotted lemons from Spellbinders because every project should have some polka dots.

The treat box is made using a die from Sizzix.

I found this striped gift bag in my stash which coordinated perfectly with the papers and cardstock colors I used.  A simply doily bag topper and bow was all it needed.

And finally, a framed piece of artwork using stencils and dies from Altenew.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Color Hues ~ Blue & Yellow

Last Minute Gift Card Holders ~ Scrapbook Pal

Christmas day is coming fast upon us!  Are you ready?

If you’ve run out of time to shop, gift cards always fit the bill.

Today’s project for making gift card holders is quick and easy using basic supplies from your stash and the Tim Holtz Thinlits “Collector” die set

The papers I used are from the Sweet Peppermint collection from Prima.  They truly are sweet in the vintage style that I love.

The Collector die set includes 45 dies that allow you to create these adorable mini file folders and all the embellishments you can possibly think of. These little envelopes can be used for so many things. Think of sharing seeds with your friends, tucking love notes inside to put in your loved ones lunch box or add them to a card to make it interactive.

I die cut the tags out of patterned paper from the Sweet Peppermint collection and sponged on some Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide Ink.  I'll add the names of the recipients here.

I love that Tim Holtz even thought of the disc closures.  I simply glued them on from the center, being careful not to get glue on the outside edge of the discs, so I could add the string to close up these cute envelopes.  A brad would work here as well.

My shopping is done, so now I can enjoy the beauty of this wonderful celebration of Jesus' birth.  The most precious gift of all!

Here is a list of links to the following products I used that can be found at Scrapbookpal.

Christmas Tag Fun~ TSOC

Hello friends~  The Sisterhood of Crafters is starting a new challenge today and it's all about "Holiday Gift Tags".  I enjoy making tags to add to Christmas gifts.
I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Teacup to make these darling gingerbread tags.  I saw these on Pinterest and knew I had to make them!  I hand drew the faces, so they're all a little wonky, but still cute as can be!

I used preprinted images for these easy tags!  I used Stitched Pinked Circles from Impression Obsession to make these.  They have a cardstock base, covered with glitter paper.

These tags have a shabby vintage style.  I used a tag die from Marianne Designs and the tree is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I added some pewter embossing to the edges of the trees.  The little doves in the trees sparkle with Silk Microfine Glitter.  They are from Dee's Distinctively Dies.  See the cute pom-pom border on the bottom of the tags?  I picked that up at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  So vintage and sweet!

For the tag base on these, I used Vintage Calligraphy set by Yvonne Creations.  I added a pine sprig from Echo Park, Holly leaves and berries from Poppystamps and the leaping dear from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Finally, these cute birdhouse tags are made using Spellbinders Build A Winter Birdhouse.

Here are a list of handy links you can use to find all the supplies I used to make these and more:

This is my last post for The Sisterhood of Crafters, as I'll be stepping down from the team.  Life has been getting busier and it was time to make some changes.
I want to give a BIG thank you to Darlene and Diane for having me on this amazing team.  I've enjoyed making new friends and being inspired by their many talents.

Come see all the fun tags that my talented team mates have made and join in on the fun!

Giving Thanks with Coffee To Go ~ TSOC

Good morning, there's a new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and we're "Giving Thanks"!  I've used this challenge as an opportunity to thank those that provide services, such as our news paper delivery guy, the sweet gal at the post office and my hair dresser.

I enjoy making these "To Go" cups using Honeybee Stamps Coffee Gift Card Holder dies.

They're the perfect size for tucking in a gift card.

The pumpkin label is made using a Market Fresh die from Spellbinders called Apple A Day.  The die is great, as it can be used as an apple or a pumpkin or even a peach!  The "For You" stamp and coffee mug are from Stampin' Up!

If you ever needed a Gift Card Holder Die, this is the one!  It comes with everything you need to create adorable gift card holders for any occasion!

Please come visit The Sisterhood of Crafters blog to join in on the fun.

Spellbinders Invitation ~ Sweet Serenade

Good morning friends~  I'm delighted to bring these cards to you today, that I made using Becca Feeken's Sweet Serenade collection from Spellbinders.
Mercy me, these dies are gorgeous!

I created a set of 4 notecards using Scalloped Symphony Notecard dies.

Scalloped Symphony Notecard Etched Dies includes 10 thin metal dies and is part of the Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken. The Scalloped Notecard die can be a Slimline card base or a card panel. Add the Score Line Insert in the middle to create a sweet 4-inch notecard square. The rest of the dies can be layered and decorated for a wonderful card creation!

The flowers are from the Layered Colorful Blooms die set.

My next set of notecards were made using the Scalloped Symphony Notecard base and Perfect Harmony Notecard Embellishments.

Perfect Harmony Notecard Embellishments Etched Dies is from the Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken. Create lovely toppers for your cards with this set of nine thin metal dies. It also includes two tag designs to accent, and slots to tuck in the end.

I made a little box using the detailed die from the Perfect Symphony Notecard Embellishments to hold a set of 4 cards.  This is a great gift idea!

Here's the complete list of products I used that can be found at Spellbinders:

Scalloped Symphony Notecard
Perfect Harmony Notecard Embellishments
Layered Colorful Blooms
Assorted Pack Color Essentials Cardstock

Spellbinders Invitation ~ Susan's Garden Club ~ Oriental Lily & Wellies

Hello friends~
Gardening is one of my passions so I was super excited for the chance to work with this new release from Susan's Garden Club for Spellbinders.

I chose Oriental Lily & Wellies to create a Gardener's Gift Set.
This gift is earth friendly, as it uses a recycled produce carton from my local grocery store.  I added a bar of homemade goat's milk soap that my daughter and I make, a nail brush, deep penetrating hand butter and a lotion from B&BW (because the label coordinated so perfectly with the wellies).

I cut the wellies and several lilies out of Canson 140# Coldpress Watercolor cardstock and painted them using Gansai Tambi water colors from Kuretake.  The freckles are made with medium brown paint splatters. I assembled the flowers according to the video tutorial found HERE. They were very easy to assemble! If you look closely, you'll see that I added some yellow pollen to the stamen of the lilies.

This is a cute and quick gift idea.
