I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas

Hello everyone~  I'm popping in with a card I made for the new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters.  The new theme is "Music".

I don't have much in the line of "musical" supplies, but I did find this Christmas verse stamp from Marianne Designs.  The papers are all scraps from my scrap box.  The coffee and sweets was an image I found online that I printed and cut using my Brother Scan N' Cut machine.  No more fussy cutting for me.... Yay!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving season my friends.

Giving Thanks with Coffee To Go ~ TSOC

Good morning, there's a new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and we're "Giving Thanks"!  I've used this challenge as an opportunity to thank those that provide services, such as our news paper delivery guy, the sweet gal at the post office and my hair dresser.

I enjoy making these "To Go" cups using Honeybee Stamps Coffee Gift Card Holder dies.

They're the perfect size for tucking in a gift card.

The pumpkin label is made using a Market Fresh die from Spellbinders called Apple A Day.  The die is great, as it can be used as an apple or a pumpkin or even a peach!  The "For You" stamp and coffee mug are from Stampin' Up!

If you ever needed a Gift Card Holder Die, this is the one!  It comes with everything you need to create adorable gift card holders for any occasion!

Halloween Wreath ~ TSOC

Hello stamplings~  Today's card is super cute!  I made it for the new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters.  The theme for this challenge is "Wreath".  Well, since it's almost Halloween I had to go in that direction...

And at first this challenge had me stumped but finally inspiration started trickling in and this is what I ended up with.

I started with the wreath, using Taylored Expressions Door to Door Decor and cutting the wreath out of black cardstock, twice.  I layered the wreath and fluffed up the sprigs and mounted it to this Barn Door from Marianne Designs.  I added a Halloween sticker from Simple Stories to the center of the wreath and some orange stickles for berries.  It looks like the pumpkin is looking through a peephole in the door.  So cute!

I wanted a brick façade for the door so I used Stampin' Up! Brick & Mortar EF, but when I ran it through the machine, somehow the paper moved and it went wonky!  I was going to throw it away abut after seeing what it looked like, I kind of like the wonky bricks.  A happy accident!  I added concrete steps using grey cardstock and gave them the look of concrete by sponging on some Iced Spruce DOX ink.  I tucked in a few more wreath sprigs to the concrete steps and added a sentiment sticker from the Simple Stories Halloween pack.

Birthday bears ~ TSOC

Good morning friends.  There's a new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters using a birthday theme.  I don't know about you, but I always need to add a few birthday cards to my stash.

My friend Marcia gifted me with this cute Penny Black stamp called Delish, quite some time ago.  I'm glad it's finally gotten inked up.

I wish I had fairy bears to help me celebrate my birthday!

Stenciled Garden ~ TSOC

Hello friends~  There's a new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and we're looking for cards and projects with stenciling.

I stenciled these wonderful Garden Florals stencils from Pink Fresh Studio onto white linen cardstock and cut it out using Penny Black's Stitched Nested Rectangles.

I added some Stickles to the centers of the flowers to snazz them up a bit.  The banner is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Pink Fresh Studio has come out with so many layered stencil sets, and they're all super popular.

Stenciling these flowers can be addicting!

I hope you'll stop by the Sisterhood of Crafters blog and join in on the fun!

Geo Duck ~ TSOC

Hi friends~  Today's card is a cross between cute and modern.  I made it for the new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters "Cute & Simple".

I had these two slim frames from Sizzix Geo Floral Frame sitting on my desk when I was coloring the die cut images for my card.  I played around with them on dark cardstock when I realized, "hey!  I think I like that!"

Isn't it funny how some cards come together?  The tree and duck flying the kite are both from The Scrapping Cottage.

I hope you'll visit The Sisterhood of Crafters to see how my talented team mates were inspired by this challenge and join in on the fun!

Circus Theme Bendi Card ~ TSOC

Good morning friends and happy Wednesday!  Today, over at The Sisterhood of Crafters,   Vickie has chosen a circus theme for our next challenge called, "The Greatest Show On Earth".  Oh how fun this sounded, but it presented me with a problem.  I have literally no circus stamps or dies that I could use.  So I turned to the internet and found a sweet printable sheet filled with various circus images in the perfect colors for my 8 year old great little niece. The papers I used are so old but the colors matched perfectly.

You might recall that I just recently made a bendi card for another design team project. (click here)  These cards are so fun to make and are very addicting! If you'd like to try making a bendi card of your own, you can find the tutorial HERE.

You can see better in this photo, where the card folds and bends.

This is the back of the card. My niece loved her card.

This card measures 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" and was mailed flat, not folded.

I hope you'll visit The Sisterhood of Crafters  and join in on the fun.

I recently purchased this Marianne Designs Circle Layout Die and I am in love with it!!  It's a generous 6" in diameter and I love how you can layer the little sections using the dies included in the set.  I used beautiful Mintay paper called Lovely Day.

Flashy Flamingos ~ TSOC

It's time again for a new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters and Diane has chosen the theme "Water, Water, Water!"  I guess it's pretty clear what we're looking for, huh?

I pulled out a fun Ocean Scene die from Hello Bluebird.  They seriously have some of the cutest scene dies around!

After coloring each of the scene panels using Distress Inks, I added two pink flamingo's from PTI's "Some Like It Hot".  I think this turned out bright and fun and hopefully it will bring some sunshine to someone's day.
