Tropical Fun!

Hello friends~  Today's card is full of tropical fun!

I have a dear friend who loves pink flamingos and she just celebrated her birthday at the beginning of this month.

Every year I make her a pink flamingo card.  Sometimes it's a challenge to come up with fresh new designs for her, but this card ended up turning out super cute.

I used Marianne Designs Pink Flamingo Floatie paired with this leafy Sylvan Frame by Poppystamps.  I made it into an easel card for something slightly different.  I'm so glad to say she loved it.

I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Four Seasons ~ Summer Challenge

AAA Cards ~ Summer Activity

Hope you're enjoying some beautiful weather in your neighborhood.  It's been gorgeous here on the east coast.  Summer if fleeting by way too quickly.

Thanks for stopping by!

Put Me There!

Warm sandy beach, palm trees, setting sun and an empty beach chair.
Please, put me there!
This Adirondack chair is calling my name.  Beach Sunset Stencils from Lawn Fawn were the jumping point for this card.

The Adirondack chair is an oldie from Impression Obsession, while the palm tree from Elizabeth Craft Design is also old and long since retired.

I think I'll enter this card into the following challenges:
Just Us Girls ~ Anything Goes using a stencil
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

I hope you're enjoying your summer.

Fla-mazing Flamingo

I loved the tropical vibe of the colors from the Color Hues challenge so much, I went in for round two using the darling Flamingo die from Marianne Designs.

Using the same design as my last trio of cards, I was able to use up the last scrap of design paper, but with a whole new look.

The tropical Palm Leaves are from Echo Park.

The warmth of this card makes my heart smile.  😊

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
Color Hues ~ Coral & Teal
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Krafty Chicks Challenge ~ All Occasions

I hope you're getting outside and enjoying the sunshine!  I've been working hard in the flower gardens.

Joyful In Hope

Hello friends!  It's 7:00am and I'm sitting near the woodstove in my pj's, sipping a cup of peppermint mocha coffee, while the snow is falling outside.  We're having a weather advisory to stay inside today and I'll happily comply.  Since I don't have anywhere to be, I'm finding myself taking it a little bit slower this morning and started looking at challenges online.  I haven't played along in a challenge in quite some time.

I made this card a few months ago but never got around to posting it.  I used HoneyBee Stamps Tropical Bouquets die set to make a few cards.  You'll see the other cards below. As I was browsing challenges, I discovered that this card fit the colors on the mood board for  the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge.

Pretty, right??

The colors on my card are a bit more bold, but I think it will work.

I'll also be entering this card into the following challenges:
Krafty Chicks Challenge ~ All Occasion Week
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
ETA:  I'll also be adding this card to the Park Hopping, My Happy Place Challenge. Thanks to Makira for reaching out to me, informing me about this "new to me" challenge, and that it reminded her of the flamingos found at Animal Kingdom in Disney World, FL.  I hope you'll check out this brand new challenge.  Looks like a fun one!!

Here's a few more card that I made using the beautiful tropical flowers in Tropical Bouquets:

I hope you're tucked in somewhere safe and warm today.  And if you're somewhere tropical... please send the sunshine and warm weather in our direction.

Thanks for stopping by!

Tropical Bouquet

Happy Monday stamping friends!  I'm popping in with a quick share, with a card I made using Honeybee Stamps Tropical Bouquets

I am in love with all the options available in this set.  Not only are there multiple flower and leaf options, but there are also beautiful vases to put the flowers in.

I created a simple, yet colorful, tropical flower vignette for this card, and stamped a verse from PTI's "A Cheerful Heart".

I recently took advantage of a free card making class through Honeybee Stamps, where we made this card above using the Tropical Bouquets set.  The sentiment from Sea Breeze is now retired but they've replaced it with an even larger Paradise Collection set, which is now on my wish list.

This card will be entered into the Flower Challenge, where the theme is CAS

Paradise, A State of Mind

When you live on the east coast, where winters are long and cold, "Paradise" really is a state of mind.
I started my card by stenciling Bold Florals by ARTplorations onto the background of an A2 sized card base, using DOX inks.

I added Dee's Distinctively Tropical Leaf Trio, that I also blended with DOX inks.

The Impression Obsession Flip Flops add to the beachy feel and the tiny flowers are from Spellbinders.  The sentiment is from HoneyBee Stamps set called "Sea Breeze".  Yes, please!!

I often listen to steel drums and tropical music when I'm creating in my craft room on those dark, cold, winter days.  It helps to put my mind in a different place.

Here's a list of the products I used that can be found at Dies R Us:

Impression Obsession Flip Flops
Dee's Distinctively Tropical Leaf Trio
Spellbinders Flowers
Distress Oxide Inks
