Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #411 ~ Water Color

Good morning friends~  It's time for a new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations.  This week we're looking for projects using water coloring.

Our sponsor this week is Inspired By Stamping
They're generously offering a $15 Gift Certificate plus Free Shipping.  You can't beat that!

Before I move on to my card I just wanted to say thank you to Debbie and all the team for my time on the Cupcake Inspirations Design Team.  I'll be stepping down from the team as life has just gotten extremely busy.  Cupcake Inspirations was my favorite challenge to play along with prior to being asked to join the team and I'm looking forward to playing along with their challenges once again when time permits.
Therefore, they are currently holding a Design Team Call that will be open until June 17th.  So if you want to be part of a super fun and talented team, check out THIS LINK to get all the details to join this team of sweeties.
Now on to my card:
I used My Heart Sings by Neat & Tangled to create this card that was inspired by one I saw online (sorry I don't have a link to the original post).  I stamped the images using distress inks in the colors of Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers and Abandoned Coral onto water color card stock and then just used a wet brush to pull the color into the images.  Easy peasy!
I hope you'll check out this week's Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and join in on the fun.  Don't forget about the Design team call as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #403 ~ Dinosaur Pop-Up Fun!

Good morning friends~  Cupcake Inspirations has a new challenge up this week and the theme is "Mythical".

Our sponsor this week is The Greeting Farm.

They're offering up a $25 Gift Certificate to the winner!

I've never been someone who was into mythical creatures before so this challenge had me stumped for a while.  I've been on a pop-up card craze lately, so I thought I'd make a fun pop-up card for you today using dinosaurs.  They're about as mythical as I can get.
Making pop-up cards has never been easier or more fun using this Lots Of Pops Die from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Today's pop-up card features these wonderful Dinosaur dies from Marianne Designs.
This is the front of the card.  MFT's Scenic Safari Dies make the perfect background for these party animals.  The sentiment was heat embossed in black on an Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Fishtail Banner.

On the inside of the card I added a couple of Frantic Stamper Palm Trees and this funky cake from Sugar Pea Designs Bring On The Cake.  Just look those adorable dinosaurs!

 Layer's of fun!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #401 ~ A Color Challenge ~ Two Wishes

Good morning friends~  We've got a delightful color challenge up for you this week over at the Cupcake Inspirations.

You don't have to use cupcakes in your design but use the colors maroon, coral and lemon or colors like them to play along.

Our sponsor this week is Birch Press Designs
They're kindly offering up a $20 gift certificate to the winner of this week's challenge, so don't miss out on the chance to win!

Now on to my card:

I created a plaid background using MFT's Plaid Background Builder and added these beautiful flower from PTI's Brushed Blooms. I added some yellow stickles on a couple of flower petals for interest.  The sentiment is from PTI's Sentiment Splits.

I had a scrap of plaid left over so I turned to Pinterest  and came across this sweet card from my friend Marybeth found HERE.

I cut a wavy scalloped edge and used MFT's Fall Florals.  The birthday sentiment is an old one that's no longer in a set so I don't know what company it's from.

I hope you'll visit the Cupcake Inspirations Blog to see how my teamies were inspired and then join in on the fun.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge ~ Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit

Here's another card to add to the 400th celebration this week over at Cupcake Inspirations.
We're being sponsored today by Sasayaki Glitter Digital Images and Crafty Sentiments Designs.

Today's card uses this adorable Monster Family fromSasayaki Glitter Digital Images.  I brought them to life using Copics and a white gel pen for added details.
I die cut the colored image using a stitched rectangle and while it was still in the die, I added a bit of distress ink around the edges.

A fun, quick and simple card to celebrate our 400th challenge.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #400 ~ BIG Celebration!

Hello friends~  Today is a big day for Cupcake Inspirations as we're celebrating 400 challenges this week!

There's so much going on and prizes to be won so you don't want to miss out on all the fun.

To celebrate our 400th challenge we are mixing things up just a little bit this week.  Each of the design team members got to choose their favorite inspiration photo from the past and combine it with this week's birthday theme.
Here's the inspiration photo I chose from challenge #287 and our birthday inspiration photo:

Challenge #287 was way before my time with the Cupcake clan but I just couldn't resist those adorable little packages with mushroom cupcakes and fairies.  Now on to my card:

I created rolling grassy hills using Frantic Stamper Stitched Grassy Grassy Hill Edgers with a watercolored sky in the background.  I added some Elizabeth Craft Designs Mushrooms, colored with Distress Inks and a blending tool and a Frantic Stamper Fairy & Flower, colored with Copics.  Some Memory Box Stitched Clouds float peacefully in the painted sky.

I hope you're encouraged to come visit the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog and join in all the fun!

I'm adding this card to the following challenges:
Double D Challenges ~ Things That Fly
4 Crafty Chicks ~ Punches Or Dies
Simon Says Wednesday ~ Using Dies or Punches

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #398 ~ Color Challenge

Good morning friends~  It's time for a new challenge going on over at Cupcake Inspirations.  We're drawing near to the 400th challenge so you'll want to be watching for some fun and exciting prizes ahead.

This week's challenge is a color challenge:
Be sure to use the colors FERN, ROSE and STEEL
in your project or colors like them.

Our sponsor this week is D.R.S. Designs

They're offering 15% off your next order to the winner.

The generous folks at DRS Designs sent us two stamps of our choice and I chose this lovely Spring Crocus along with an Easter sentiment but I chose to use a birthday sentiment on this card instead because I was in need of a birthday card.  Thanks so much for your kind gift!  I know I'll be using this lovely spring image a lot!!

A strip of sparkly pink paper and polka dotted paper really help define the stamped panel.

I colored the image using Copics and added some Clear Wink Of Stella to sparkle them up!

I added a file tab sentiment and finished it off with some iridescent sequins.

Be sure to stop by the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge Blog to see how my talented team mates were inspired and join in on the fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit

Hello friends~  It's Sunday so that means that there's a new challenge up at Cupcake Inspirations.  This week is a theme challenge:
 CATS
and who better to have as a sponsor this week than the amazing Newton's Nook Designs!
They're offering up a $25 store credit so don't miss out on this chance to play along and win.

The kind folks at Newton's Nook allowed us to shop with a bit of a discount and I had a hard time choosing which stamp sets were coming home with me as I want so many of them!  I chose to use Happy Mail because who can resist a frisky kitty in a mailbox?  Not me!

I went postal all the way on these two cards, coloring the images up using Copic markers.

Join in on the fun at Cupcake Inspirations.  And be watching as we approach our 400th challenge...  we've got lots of surprises and prizes in store for you that you won't want to miss!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
