A Special Boo To You!

Hello crafty friends!  I'm just popping in with a card that I made a couple of weeks ago that just happens to fit in with a couple of challenges going on right now.
Who doesn't love cute little Newton from Newton's Nook?  He's irresistibly cunning no matter what mischief he's getting himself into.

I stamped this cute image from Newton's Nook Perfect Pumpkin, stamping the spider and web in the top corner.  I then cut the panel using Impression Obsession's Crazy Stitched Set and colored the image using copics.  I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest that added some doodling for fun.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:

Fall Garden Mouse

Simon Says Stamp is having their Stamp-tember celebration all month long.  It's an event I look forward to every year.  It's like a  month-long stamping party, with exclusive new product releases and lots and lots of prizes!
I made this card for the exclusive collaboration with Newton's Nook.
I used Newton's Nook Garden Mice to create my card along with lovely fall paper from Echo Park.  The stitched pumpkin is from Memory Box.

Do you want to see more of these cute Garden Mice?

I hope you'll take some time to check out the Simon Says Stamp blog to see all the great new stamps that are coming your way and join in on the fun!

Cut Cardstock ~ Only Fish In The Sea

Living on the east coast, we have our fair share of ocean side visits.  I'm inspired by all the little creatures and plant life that I see when looking into tide pools when the tide is out.
Today's project features many colors from the Basis Cardstock line that are currently on sale at Cut Cardstock for the month of May.  They have colors that meet your every creative need and they cut like butter using steel dies.

Here's a snapshot of products I used in today's post.
Basis Cardstock in the following colors: AquaGreyCoralWhite and Red and  Core' Dinations Cardstock.  Dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs Seaweed and Shells Large.

I started by cutting a wavy patterned die out of the Aqua colored Basis Cardstock and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper using Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.
I cut many of the sea weed shapes out of white Basis Cardstock and added color using Distress Inks.

Once they were colored I added some shimmer using  Heidi Swapp Color Shine

The crab was created using red Basis Cardstock for the top die and red Vintage Collection Core'Dinations for the bottom layer.  I just love the texture on the Core'Dinations cardstock and this crab is adorable!

I played around with design layouts and settled on this one.  I cut one of the wavy lines out of the die cut panel to allow room for a sentiment.  I then stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it using silver embossing powder.

Once the front panel was complete, I adhered it onto an A2 sized, top folding card made white Basis Cardstock.

Don't forget to include a fun colored coordinating Basis Envelope.  They come in all the same great colors as the cardstock and you can mix and match them to create your own assortment of envelopes!
I hope you enjoyed today's project for Cut Cardstock.

Birthday's Galore!

Good morning ~  I've got a couple of cards to share that I made for specific challenges.  I've been super busy being involved with an Easter Event at our church but had Wednesday off to play and since April is a big birthday month for us (9 birthdays), I needed to catch up on some birthday cards.
These first two cards are for the PTI Create Along With Us challenge.  I was completely taken by Stephanie Gold's idea to create a sentiment border.  I stamped two different panels, one with the sentiment border and one with balloons and cut them evenly so I could create two cards.  Both of these will be going to two of my great little's who celebrate their birthdays this month.

This card is for one of my nieces.  They have 4 cats and a dog so I thought she'd get a kick out of this fun Newton's Nook Birthday Flutter image.  This card will be entered into the Seize the Birthday challenge using two patterned papers.

My next card is a spinner card for another niece.  She has a hedgehog as a pet so this card is perfect for her.  My sweet friend Marcia sent me this adorable hedgehog die and it works perfectly with the ECD spinners dies.  The flowers are from MFT.

I'll also be entering one of these cards into the following challenges:

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #396

Cupcake Inspirations
Hello friends~  It's Sunday so that means that there's a new challenge up at Cupcake Inspirations.  This week is a theme challenge:
 CATS
and who better to have as a sponsor this week than the amazing Newton's Nook Designs!
They're offering up a $25 store credit so don't miss out on this chance to play along and win.

The kind folks at Newton's Nook allowed us to shop with a bit of a discount and I had a hard time choosing which stamp sets were coming home with me as I want so many of them!  I chose to use Happy Mail because who can resist a frisky kitty in a mailbox?  Not me!

I went postal all the way on these two cards, coloring the images up using Copic markers.

Join in on the fun at Cupcake Inspirations.  And be watching as we approach our 400th challenge...  we've got lots of surprises and prizes in store for you that you won't want to miss!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings~ Birgit
