Seas The Day ~ Nautical ~ Double D Challenge

Good morning friends and Happy Independence Day, almost!  As the nation prepares to celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, Double D Challenge is bringing you a new challenge with a Nautical theme.

I pulled out an old paper pack from Authentique called "Seafarer" for my card.  How appropriate that the colors in this collection are red, white and blue.

My friend Donna so kindly shared some of her die cuts with me last year, and I cut these wonderful oars along with many other nautical themed dies.  Thanks Donna!

This is a fun challenge you won't want to miss!  So be sure to visit Double D Challenge to see more inspiration from the amazing team and join in on the fun.
Here's the inspiration board to give you a jump start:

Nautical Birthday ~DRU

Hello friends~  There's a new challenge starting up over at Dies R Us Challenge blog.  The theme is always "Anything Goes" so it's easy peasy to join in on the fun!
I used a Life Preserver from Marianne Designs that I purchased during one of the Special Order Events at Dies R Us to make a little porthole peek into the bottom of the ocean.  Isn't it fun?   The fish are from Elizabeth Craft Designs Diving Accessories.

I hope you'll visit the DRU Challenge blog to see more inspiration from our amazing design team and join in on the fun.  While you're there, be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you can be one of the first to be notified of their special order events.

Beach House Fun! ~ DRU

Good morning friends ~  There's a new challenge starting up over at Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  I have a new card to share with you featuring several different companies of dies that Dies R Us carries.

I started by stamping the sunrise water scene using a Stampin' Up set called Sending Sunshine.  From there, I built up the beachy scene using Marianne Designs Beach House.

The Fence, Sea Gulls & Grass dies are from Impression Obsession.  I die cut the Marianne Designs Sign Post and stamped my sentiment on each board.

I hung the live preserver from Elizabeth Craft Designs Whale, onto the fence and scattered a few sea shells from Memory Box Seaside Treasures.

I wish I could stay at this little oceanside cabin myself.  I think I would never leave.

Join in on the fun when you visit the Dies R Us Challenge blog!

Sail Away With Me

Good morning friends~  I haven't played along with Cupcake Inspiration in a long time and after seeing my friend Kim's card for the challenge and how adorable it was, I thought I'd check out their challenge blog.  I'm so glad I did because there's some wonderful nautical inspiration there!  My card isn't as adorable as Kim's but it's nautical.

Do you ever want to just pull out all your old supplies and make cards with them?  I can get so caught up using new supplies and buying more because I think I "need" them when I have so many wonderful old supplies just waiting to be used.

This card is made using just dies.  No stamping involved.  The sailboat is an old one from MFT but I've always loved the simple design.  I paired it with PTI's Shape Shifters Oval die and the little anchor tag was a freebie from Cheery Lynn Designs a really long time ago.  It was fun pulling out some old dies and giving them some new love.

I hope you'll play along by clicking here.
