Pre-Historic Pal

Good morning friends~  Just thought I'd pop in and share a cutie little card and two heart shaped boxes that I made for my sweet little grands.

First up is this pre-historic dinosaur from Marianne Designs.

I used a Tim Holtz embossing plate for the background.  It made me think of dinosaur scales.  I used Altenew's Alphabet dies for the letters.

This card paired perfectly with the little heart shaped box I made using Concord & 9th Heart Box Die.  The image is one that I found online and printed.  I didn't plan this, but once I put the two creations together, I realized how perfectly they went together.

I added some green Stickles to the dinosaur.  Super cute!  Little Bam-Bam and his pet dinosaur Dino.  ;0)

The second box uses another free printable I found online.  My sweet P loves kitty cats so I thought she was just purr-fect!

She's glitzed up with a generous dose of Silk Microfine Glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Just look at that face!  💗💗💗

Both boxes are super simple but so sweet.  Now the question is what to put in them??  What would you put in for two little ones just over a year old?

I can't share the card I made for my Sweet P because it's coming up in a future post.  You'll have to stop back by soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Pop-Up Shoppes ~ ScrapbookPal

Hello friends ~ I'm posting today for Scrapbook Pal. I was browsing their shop and found these dies that were released in March of this year. The Pop-up Shoppe Dies from Concord & 9th are the cutest ever, and definitely worth revisiting!

Create your own little mini mall using Pop-up Shoppe Base dies,

Window Shoppe Pop-up Base dies, and all the fun add on dies.

This card uses the Window Shoppe Pop-up Die and the Flower Shoppe Add-on. So cute!!!

This card uses the Pop-up Shoppe Die paired with the Bake Shoppe Add-on.

They also have a Fashion Shoppe and a Book Shoppe.  These pop-up cards are to “die” for!

The great thing about these cards is that they fold flat for easy mailing in an A2 sized envelope.

Happy Valentine's Day! ~ Happy Heart Boxes

Happy Valentine's Day, friends!  Today is one of my favorite days of the year, and not because it's Valentine's Day.  It's because I gave birth to my daughter on Valentine's Day 29 years ago.  But my projects today are to celebrate Valentine's Day.

I made these cute heart shaped boxes using the Concord & 9th Happy Heart Box.

The first box is decorated using sweet Zesty Lemons from Lawn Fawn.  The "LOVE YOU" sentiment boxes are included in the Happy Heart Box die set.

Each box is filled with yummy Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

Next up is a black box that I decorated with Be Bold Blooms from Spellbinders.

I made multiples of these boxes to give to my daughter, my daughter-in-love and my mother-in-love.

These are the boxes I made for my hubby, son and son-in-love, using the dies that came with the Happy Heart Box set.

I thought I'd share pictures of my little sweeties as well; it's been a while since I've given an update.
Our little "C" is 5 months old now.  He's over 8 pounds and he's a happy little guy!  He's starting to learn to roll over and he has his first tooth bud.  DH and I get to babysit this little one tonight so his papa can take his momma out to dinner.  A much needed reprieve for both of them.

Sweet "P" is 2 months old and weighs over 11 pounds.  She's growing right on schedule!

I wish you and your family all the love and chocolates you can eat today!

Heart Shaped Treat Boxes ~ ScrapbookPal

Hello peeps!  Treat boxes are on the top of my list of favorite things to make.  They're so fun to make, so fun to give, and hopefully so fun for the recipient to receive.

The Bunch of Blossoms dies and stamps from Concord & 9th made for beautiful decorations for the Happy Heart Box Die, also from Concord & 9th, that was released last year.

I started by creating the three Happy Heart Boxes using heavy weight cardstock.  These boxes went together very easily and they're oh, so adorable!

I cut out several flowers using the Bunch of Blossoms dies in different colors of cardstock.  I blended Distress Oxide Inks onto each of the petals and leaves.  I then glued the bottom two layers of petals together and added dimensional foam squares to the two top layers of the flowers, which included the stamen and the top petals.

Once the flowers were assembled, I gave the flowers and leaves a spritz of gold shimmer spray. I arranged the flowers and leaves onto each of the boxes and added a few gold leaves to a couple of the boxes.

I stamped the sentiments from the Bunch of Blossoms Stamp Set onto cardstock and cut them out using the coordinating dies from the Bunch of Blossoms die set and popped them up using dimensional foam squares.

These turned out super cute and are ready to fill with sweet treats for my crafty friends.

I hope you enjoyed today's project.  You can find all the products I used linked below.

Patriotic Heart ~ DRU

Good morning friends~ There's a new challenge starting up over at the Dies R Us Challenge blog and if you recall, the theme is "Anything Goes" all year long!
This makes it so easy for us, as a design team, and for you, as a participant!

Since we're nearing the 4th of July, I wanted my card to be patriotic, so I pulled out some red and blue scraps from my scrap box.

Here's a list of supplies I used that can be found at Dies R Us.

Golden Fall Celebrations ~ TSOC

Happy Fall Y'all!  I love the crisp fall air and all the colors that come along with fall.  Don't you?  Today's card is in remembrance of both of my parents.  They celebrated their birthdays October 2nd and 3rd.  While they're no longer with me, October holds special memories in my heart for them because, aside from their birthdays it's also their anniversary month as well as mine and my hubbies anniversary month.  Lots to remember and celebrate!

This card was made for the new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters "Golden Fall" challenge.  We'd like to see you use gold on your project.

For my card, I started by cutting a piece of gold shimmer card stock with a Frantic Stamper Spiral Rose cover die and mounting it onto a Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock card base.

I  had this Concord & 9th Happy Day cake image left over from a previous 12 kits that I colored up in fall colors using Copic markers.

This card is to celebrate all the good things that the fall season gives.

Now it's YOUR turn to play along.  You can find all the details at The Sisterhood of Crafters or by clicking here.  We look forward to seeing what you create!

Birthday Bliss ~ 12 Kits of Occasion ~ April

Good morning friends~  It's the end of the month so that means it's time for a group post for the 12 Kits of Occasion gals to post our projects using kits put together by one of our amazingly talented team mates.  This month's kit was hosted by the incredibly gifted Nancy Penir of Artful Notions.  Nancy is one of the most artistic crafters I know.  She's not afraid to try new techniques and the way she puts things together just blows my mind.
Have a look at this fun filled birthday kit we were blessed with this month.

And now on to my cards:

I somehow managed to get some random adhesive onto the bottom of this stenciled panel that Nancy created and it ripped when I tried to remove the adhesive.  I thought I was going to have to throw it away but I'm so glad I didn't.  I simply cut some puffy clouds out of polka dotted vellum and placed the sentiment over the tattered spot.  You'd never know I almost ruined it.  PHEW!

This pair of Pure Innocence Birthday Buddies were put onto two separate cards.

Nancy sent the embossed background and I happen to have the same embossing folder so I got two cards for one.

Nancy's kit was so easy to work with!  I feel like all my cards practically made themselves.  All I did was slap on some glue.  ;0)

And look at this darling purse Nancy sent.

Gosh!  This was so fun to put together.

I hope you'll visit the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how the rest of my talented team mates used Nancy's adorable kit.
