12 Kits of Occasion July ~ Best Summer Ever

Hello stamplings~  It's hard to believe that the end of July is here and that summer on the east coast will be over soon.  This month's kit was put together by sweet Marybeth from Marybeth's Time For Paper and everyone that knows her, know's she has flawless style and the most sweetest personality to match.
Her kit is titled "Best Summer Ever" and this truly was the best summer "kit" ever!
Thank you Marybeth for a darling kit!!
Let's jump right in to my cards:

This mason jar from The Greetery is new to me and after using it, I wasted no time before purchasing this set.  The banners are cut using some of the beautiful  Echo Park Best Summer Ever papers that Marybeth included in her kit.  The lemons I added are from The Scrapping Cottage.

With paper as cute as this, I just had to add this watermelon from Spellbinders Fruit Salad.  The Luscious Script Hello die is from Poppy Stamps.  Don't you just love the chunky layers??

More lovely Echo Park papers and this sweet Garden Poppy Stitched Frame also from Poppy Stamps

These flowers from Concord & 9th Filled In Florals are stunning, don't you think?

And finally, stay cool with these refreshing Cool Treats also from Concord & 9th.

That's it for my summer magic!  I have plenty of leftovers for creating more summer fun in the future.
Be sure to visit the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how my talented team mates used Marybeth's kit.

Festive Things With Wings ~ Christmas Kickstart Challlenge

Good morning ~  I hope you're staying cool and out of the high humidity that's going on across the country.  Here's a little Christmas Box Ornament to cool you down.
I made a bunch of these box ornaments last year to add to the gifts I was giving and I never got around to posting this one (and several more), so I hope it still counts for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge

I used Darcie's Thank You clear stamp set and an Igloo die from Frantic Stamper.

If you've never checked out Darcie's Stamps, you really must.  They're all so incredibly cute and really good prices.

I'll also be entering this into the following challenges:

Pretty Pastels

Good morning friends ~ I'm popping in with a card for The Flower Challenge, where the theme is "Pretty Pastels".

I used Gathered Garden from PTI, stamping the greens into the shape of a heart and then adding the flowers.

The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life "Praise Him".

There's still plenty of time to play along with this challenge over at The Flower Challenge.  I'll also be entering this card into the following challenges:

I hope you're enjoying beautiful summer weather wherever you are!

Spring Chicken ~ Dies R Us ~ Birthday

Hello~  It's time for another fun challenge over at the Dies R Us Challene Blog!  Today's theme is "Birthday"!!

This new Impression Obsession Chicken arrived at my house not long ago and it is so darling when cut in colorful polka dotted paper!  I went through my scrap box and used up some of my neglected scraps to create a few of these old gals for future projects.

I created simple layers using my favorite Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles.  The die cut sentiment is  from Sue Wilson Designs "A Little Birdie Told Me".

You can find all the details and join in on the fun here.
The winner will receive a gift card to Dies R Us.

Hot Beverages On A Hot Summers Day

Good morning friends~  Jo over at Christmas Kickstart Challenge has another awesome challenge going on and I thought I'd missed it, but thankfully there's still a few days left so you can join in on the fun too.  The theme is "Your Hot Beverage Of Choice".

I turned to an old PTI set that remains one of my favorites, "Cozy Christmas".
I love the look of the vintage thermoses and I spent some time this past winter stamping a bunch of them and tucked them in a baggie for future cards.

Well, this challenge was the perfect time to pull them out and put them to use.

I made a few cards using the pre-stamped and die cut thermoses and now I have four cards added to my box for this years card list.

Thanks to challenges like Christmas Kickstart Challenge, I should hopefully be on target with my cards this year, since last year I fell short.

I'm also entering one of these cards to the following challenges:

Good Morning Glories!

Good morning friends~  Are you enjoying your summer?  The weather here on the east coast has been perfect summer weather the last few weeks.  It's been so wonderful being outdoors, I've hardly spent any time in my craft room at all.  I was feeling kind of yucky yesterday so I spent the day at home and in my craft room.  I was happy to be making cards again using this new Build-A-Flower Morning Glory set from Altenew.
I'm thrilled with this new set, the flower layers are so easy to line up! You can't tell in the picture but there's actually four layers to these flowers.  I take pictures with my ipad and for the life of me, I can't capture any details at all.  If anyone has any helpful suggestions, I'm all ears!  Anyway, I stamped the leaves using two colors from the Warm Gray Mini Ink Cube Set and the flowers using Ballet Slippers Mini Ink Cube Set.  Using the mini ink cube sets makes coloring layering quick and easy and the colors always coordinate perfectly.

I did some second generation stamping with the leaves along the left side of the card using Tropical Forest Mini Ink Cubes and a strip of glitter tape before adding these pretty morning glories on stems.  The flowers were stamped using the blues from Secret Garden Mini Ink Cube Set.  The little curly-cues are so fun!  I also added some Nuvo dots for extra detail.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
(Top Card) Color Throwdown ~ Pink, Gold, Black & White
(Bottom Card) Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Double D Challenges ~ Tropical
