Happy Gardener ~ TSOC

Hello friends!  I'm popping in today with a card I made for The Sisterhood of Crafters.  There's a new challenge starting today and the theme is "How Does Your Garden Grow?"

I don't know about you, but I love to be outdoors when the weather is good, even if I'm simply pulling weeds from the flower beds.  It's relaxing to me and peaceful.  Anyhoo, as you can see, I've chosen an older set from Ellen Hutson, to use on my card.  Would you believe I've had this Leading Ladies ~ Plant Lady for a couple of years and it's never seen ink??

Don't judge me.  I know......
 I'm bad!

I was cleaning and reorganizing in my craft room and found this happy gardener tucked away.  It's amazing what I can find when I start cleaning in there!    I've also used beautiful Berry Delightful printed paper from Stampin' Up!  The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Little Words That Mean A Lot".

I hope you'll stop by The Sisterhood of Crafters blog and join us for this fun challenge.  I mean, who doesn't lover flowers, right??

Thanks for stopping by!

Mellow Yellow ~ TSOC

Good morning y'all!  Vickie is hosting this week's new challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and her theme is called "Mellow Yellow".  With the Farmhouse style being all the rage right now, I made this card for the challenge:

I started by building the Marianne Designs Ladder and House Plants using soft shades of yellow, green and white.  The background is embossed using Stampin' Up Brick EF.

I also added a Cottage Cutz Orchid, which I colored using copics and gave the flowers sparkly yellow centers.

Does this meet the requirements for "Mellow Yellow"?

You can find all the details and join in on the fun here.

Magical Wishes ~ Double D

Hello friends~  It's time for a new challenge over at Double D Challenges and we've got a fun theme I think you'll love!  We're looking for anything with a rainbow, unicorn or mermaid.

All the sets I used on today's card are retired but still very much loved.
MFT's End Of The Rainbow is the perfect soft landing for this Magical Dragon.

He's making a magical wish on this cupcake from MFT's All The Cupcakes.

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Magic Sampler and the star sequins are from my stash.

Join in on the fun here!

Sweet Strawberries ~ DRU Challenge

Good morning friends~ There's a new challenge starting up over at the Dies R Us Challenge blog and if you recall, the theme is "Anything Goes" all year long!
This makes it so easy for us, as a design team, and for you, as a participant!

I started by embossing a quilted design on the white card stock base.  I added a strip of gingham from my scrap box and added two die cut ric-rac strips from Spellbinders Ric Rac .

The sweet Strawberries from Elizabeth Craft Design made for a cheerful summer greeting.

I hope you'll visit the DRU Challenge blog to see more inspiration from our amazing design team and join in on the fun.  While you're there, be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you can be one of the first to be notified of their special order events.
