Spellbinders Invitation ~ Christmas Traditions~ Through The Woods

Is it too early to say that Christmas is around the corner?  Let the Christmas Traditions release from Spellbinders help you get a jump start on your holiday card making needs.

Today's featured set is called Through The Woods and it's as sweet as it is nostalgic.

Nest all 12 thin metal dies to create a fun layered Christmas tree scene in an ornament arrangement. I used the Forevergreen Embossing Folder in the background and added papers from the Winter Wishes 6x6 paper pack.  The flowers are from the September Small Die of the Month.

Use the scene dies themselves for a great focal accent.  For this card, I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock using the largest Nestabilities Deckled Rectangle and added some DOX ink to the inside edges, while it was still in the die.

I stamped the sentiment using Christmas Time Sentiments, and built the scene using the detailed dies from Through The Woods.  I added more flowers from the September Small Die of the Month.  This is a great way to extend the use of your dies.

The Christmas Traditions Collection is timeless in style.  It's a beautiful collection that you must check out!

Spellbinders Invitation ~ Susan's Garden Club ~ Oriental Lily & Wellies

Hello friends~
Gardening is one of my passions so I was super excited for the chance to work with this new release from Susan's Garden Club for Spellbinders.

I chose Oriental Lily & Wellies to create a Gardener's Gift Set.
This gift is earth friendly, as it uses a recycled produce carton from my local grocery store.  I added a bar of homemade goat's milk soap that my daughter and I make, a nail brush, deep penetrating hand butter and a lotion from B&BW (because the label coordinated so perfectly with the wellies).

I cut the wellies and several lilies out of Canson 140# Coldpress Watercolor cardstock and painted them using Gansai Tambi water colors from Kuretake.  The freckles are made with medium brown paint splatters. I assembled the flowers according to the video tutorial found HERE. They were very easy to assemble! If you look closely, you'll see that I added some yellow pollen to the stamen of the lilies.

This is a cute and quick gift idea.

Spellbinders Invitation ~ Christmas Traditions ~ Rejoice Nativity

Greetings everyone!  I'm so glad you've come back for another visit.  Spellbinders has recently released their Christmas Traditions Collection, just in time for your holiday projects.
Today's card uses Rejoice Nativity die set.  This set includes 8 dies that you can create a layered nativity scene in an ornament motif or use the dies independently to create a wonderful focal accent.  This die set lends itself perfectly to create interactive shaker cards as well. The timeless design brings home the real reason we celebrate the Christmas season.

I used papers from Winter Wishes, which is sadly no longer available, in the background and added the sentiment from Christmas Time Sentiments.  I added a trio of flowers that I cut from the September Small Die of the Month

Here's a list of products I used that can be found at Spellbinders:

Stenciled Garden ~ TSOC

Hello friends~  There's a new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and we're looking for cards and projects with stenciling.

I stenciled these wonderful Garden Florals stencils from Pink Fresh Studio onto white linen cardstock and cut it out using Penny Black's Stitched Nested Rectangles.

I added some Stickles to the centers of the flowers to snazz them up a bit.  The banner is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Pink Fresh Studio has come out with so many layered stencil sets, and they're all super popular.

Stenciling these flowers can be addicting!

I hope you'll stop by the Sisterhood of Crafters blog and join in on the fun!

Spellbinders Fall Traditions Release ~ Falling Leaves & Charming Pumpkins

Hello sweet friends~ Today's card was made using Spellbinders new Fall Traditions release, Falling Leaves Embossing Folder and Charming Pumpkins stamp set.  What a delightful release this has been to work with.

I embossed a piece of green cardstock from my stash using the Falling Leaves embossing folder and rubbed a bit of Distress Oxide ink onto the edges.

I stamped the pumpkins from Charming Pumpkins and colored them using copics. I glued them onto the embossed cardstock panel and added Glossy Accents to the center medallion on the small pumpkin. The sentiment from Charming Pumpkins stamp set is embossed using Journey Copper Embossing Powder.

Here's the products I used from Spellbinders to make this project:

Floral Hello

Hello friends~  I'm popping in this morning with a card I made using washi tape for PoppyStamps new challenge, "Wonderful Washi".

My dear friend Nancy Penir gifted me with a sample of this beautiful "Sunset Blush" Washi Tape from Memory Box.  It's a wide tape and the pattern is lovely!

I had a scrap of cardstock that had been colored using Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders, so I cut the Stitched Butterfly Trio and layered them over the Luscious Script Hello die cut.

There's plenty of time to join in on the fun!

Out Of This World ~ DRU

Hello fellow stampers ~ I've got two cute cards for you today that are "Out Of This World"!  These were made for the new challenge starting up over at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.

I purchased this Creative Expressions die from designer Lisa Horton, "Out Of This World" to make these two cards.  I adore all the dies in this set but most especially, the three eyed monster.  Gah!  He's so stinkin' cute!!

this is the inside of the card.

The monster is mounted on a springy wiggle mounting thing so he actually jiggles.  EEEP!  I know there's a name for this wiggly thing, but for the life of me, I can't remember it!

This die set comes with 26 dies so I had enough die cut images left over so that I could make a second card.  The largest planet is simply cut using a nested circle die.

It's hard to see in the photo, but I ran the die cut circle "planet" through my machine with a large polka dotted embossing folder to give it some texture.  It's very visible in real life.

This Creative Expressions die set was purchased during a "Special Order Event" that Dies R Us offers quite often.  Be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you can be notified of these awesome events!

I do hope you'll visit the Dies R Us Challenge Blog to see all the amazing inspiration from my fellow team mates and join in on the fun.

Spellbinders ~ Add To Cart Collection ~ Party On!

Good morning friends~  I'm delighted to share today's cards with you, that I made using Spellbinders "Party On!" die set, which is part of the Add To Cart collection

For both cards, I cut the wine glasses and wine bottle out of Neenah Solar White cardstock and  colored them using copics.  I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the wine in the glasses so it sparkled.

I added the banner and masks to the second card, this time using the champagne glasses.

This release is by Becky Roberts and it is so fun and innovative!
This is the perfect set for any celebration, from birthday to wedding, girls night out and anything in between.

Spellbinders Fall Traditions Collection feat. Autumn Leaves

Hello friends~  I'm happy to be here with you today, sharing a card I made using the Autumn Leaves die set from Spellbinders new Fall Traditions collection.

Who doesn't love a pile of leaves to jump in to?  With this set, you can make that reality on paper!  There are 9 cutting dies in this set making this the perfect fall set for all your fall projects.

I heat embossed the sentiment from Charming Pumpkins stamp set using Journey Gold Embossing Powder, adding the cluster of leaves to the top of this barnboard and terra cotta background.

Here's the list of products I used to create this card.

Geo Duck ~ TSOC

Hi friends~  Today's card is a cross between cute and modern.  I made it for the new challenge starting up over at The Sisterhood of Crafters "Cute & Simple".

I had these two slim frames from Sizzix Geo Floral Frame sitting on my desk when I was coloring the die cut images for my card.  I played around with them on dark cardstock when I realized, "hey!  I think I like that!"

Isn't it funny how some cards come together?  The tree and duck flying the kite are both from The Scrapping Cottage.

I hope you'll visit The Sisterhood of Crafters to see how my talented team mates were inspired by this challenge and join in on the fun!

Spellbinders Small Die of the Month ~ Sept. 2021

Hello friends~  I'm back today with two cards I made using the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month.

This month's small die set is called "Layered Mix & Match Sentiments".  You're going to love this set!  This die set includes 29 dies.  It has so many words that you can use individually or put together to make the perfect sentiment for your cards.  Plus it also includes shadow dies to nest your words into, adding more detail and dimension to your cards.

I used the bird and balloons from the Large Die of the Month set and added the sweet flowers and leaves and the sentiments from the Small Die of the Month set.  I added Pink Mix Color Essential Gems to the center of each of the flowers.

I used the "hello" sentiment from the Small Die of the Month on this card.

Again, I used that darling bird and balloon die from the Large Die of the Month.  The circle die with the embossed center made me think of one of those gazing balls that you might see in a garden, so that's the direction I went instead of using it as a balloon.  I added a healthy dose of Wink of Stella to make the orb sparkle.
