Easter Basket W Large Handle ~Double D Challenge

Hello friends ~  Double D Challenges is starting a new challenge today and the theme is "Things with Handles".
....Interesting!

I confess that I picked out my die before looking at the mood board.

I asked myself, what types of things have handles, and the first thing that came to my mind was this Woven Basket Pop Up Easel die from Poppystamps.  I did all the inking in the background and on the basket using DOX inks.

I filled the basket with the grass and leaf dies that are included in the set and then I added this sweet bunny from Lil' Inkers Bunnies & Bows.  I added some clear stickles glitter glue to the berries.

The big bow on top  of the basket is also included in the Poppystamps basket die.

I enjoyed working with this die set so much!  You may recall me using it in this post here for Dies R Us.

I also went on to make another basket card, filling it with Christmas goodies.

I had some Christmas dies that I put together before Christmas, left over and they filled this basket perfectly!

Here's a photo of all three basket cards together:

Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Popsicles ~ DRU

Hello friends~ I've got something sweet for you today!
Do you like chocolate?  Do you like strawberries?  Do you like popsicles?

Well, here's some chocolate dipped strawberry popsicle cards that are fat free, and they won't add inches to your waistline.

I started by cutting several Large Popsicles from Frantic Stamper out of pink cardstock.  To make the ooey-gooey, drippy chocolate, I cut a long strip of dark brown cardstock using Impression Obsessions Drip Edger and then cut just the top of the popsicle using the Large Popsicle die.  I then added some white gel pen accents.

I cut Elizabeth Craft Designs Strawberries out of the same pink cardstock and added Candied Apple DOX Ink to the edges, adding the green leaf cap to the top of each strawberry.  The white flowers are also from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Strawberries set.  This die set is currently sold out but there's an equally beautiful set from Impression Obsession (Strawberry) available in the store.

Each card got a different white frame to make the popsicles pop.  The top card uses Impression Obsession Crazy Stitched Set.  The second card uses Marianne Designs Basic Ticket Die, which I layered two different sizes to add some dimension.  The third card uses Impression Obsession Stitched Pinked Circles

These cards came together quickly and easily, and they look delicious!

Here's a list of products I used to make today's cards, that you can find at

Have A Springy Day! Spellbinders March Card Kit of the Month

Good morning, friends ~   I've got six cards and a fun Easter project to share with you today, that I made using the Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month.

This month's "Have A Springy Day" Card Kit includes a 6x6 paper pad, clear stamps, an adorable die set, tons of embellishments, and more!
Ring in spring with all the beautiful, water-colored papers, die cuts and stickers that are included in the kit.

I don't know about you, but a basket full of lemons just says, "spring" to me.

This is such an amazing value for all the supplies you'll receive.

The kit also includes card bases with envelopes, two different types of adhesives, die cuts and several sticker options.

Last, but not least, I decorated this egg crate, which is currently on sale at Spellbinders, using the darling bunny and sheep dies that are included in the set.

I found these chocolate eggs that fit the crates perfectly.  They'll make a nice little Easter gift!

Amazing Paper Grace March Die of the Month ~ Spellbinders

Hello everyone~  I'm here today to share a card I made using Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace March, Die of the Month.  Becca Feeken truly amazes me with her stunning designs and eye for detail when it comes to creating dies that are easy to use and so beautiful when put together.

This month's die of the month includes 12 detailed dies to help you create beautifully layered cards and projects.

I started by cutting the base layer out of Cosmic Sky Color Essentials Cardstock, using just the outside frame die.  For the detailed inside, I cut it twice using the frame and detailed dies, out of Teal Topaz and White Cardstock. I then pieced it together like a puzzle, leaving out some of the pieces so the dark background showed through.  There are two different flower dies to choose from as well as the leaf dies.

To finish it off, I cut the "hello" sentiment using Layered Mix & Match Sentiments out of teal glitter paper and Waterfall Color Essentials Cardstock.  There are so many elements included in this die set, giving you lots of opportunities to create anything from CAS to elegant and layered.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.  I've included a list of supplies that I used, below.  By clicking on the links, you'll be taken directly to the product in the Spellbinders store.

Pockets ~ Double D Challenge

Good morning, friends ~ Double D Challenges is starting a new challenge today and the theme is "Pockets".
I wasn't quite sure of the direction I wanted to take for this challenge and then I remembered I had this fun backpack die from Spellbinders called "Pack It Up".  Backpacks have loads of pockets!!

One of the fun factors about this die set is that the top flap flips open revealing a pocket that you can tuck all these school supplies in.

I tucked the apple into the small pocket to keep the flap closed.  When the apple is removed, the flap opens, and little hands can be kept busy by pulling out all the little school supplies.

This die was a previous Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders, but it's still available and it's on sale for 50% off!

I made six cards (only four cards would fit in the photo), using lots of colorful papers from my stash to send to my great little nieces and nephews to encourage them in the midst of the school year.

I hope you'll visit the Double D Challenges blog to see how my talented teammates were inspired and play along.

Basket Full of Spring ~ Dies R Us

Hello, hello!  There's a new challenge starting up over at Dies R Us and the theme is "Anything Goes".

I recently purchased this Woven Basket Pop Up Easel die set by Poppystamps from Dies R Us and since spring is upon us, I knew I wanted to use it to welcome in the season.  The die has open areas where you can ink through to add the woven design and handle.  I ink blended the background using Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron DOX inks.

I filled the basket using the grass that's included in the basket set and  Leabilities Young Birds, which was purchased during a Special Order Event.

While I had the basket die out, I made another card, filling it with Christmas goodies.
What a wonderfully, versatile basket this will be!  I can see it filled with all kinds of seasonal goodies.  Keep your eyes open for another post using this amazing die, coming soon!

Here's a list of links to the products I used,
or they will bring you directly to Dies R Us where you can sign up for the newsletter to be notified about the Special Order Events:
