I was inspired by the sweet little quilted hearts in the lower right corner. I love little quilted ornaments and hearts are well, dear to my heart since my sweet daughter also celebrates her birthday on Valentine's day.
Here's one of the cards I made for the hop.
I chose to do a little paper piecing, Melissa Phillips style. Well, I know I fall way short when it comes to paper piecing but this was a simple design for me to try it on.
I used the Limitless Layers Heart Die Collection and the small hearts are punched from a paper punch.
Enjoy the rest of the hop and thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you'll take the time, since you're here anyway, to leave me a comment. I see I get lots of viewers but a handful of comments. I'd love to know that you've been here so I can stop in and visit your lovely blog as well.
E.T.A. ~ I'm also adding this to the Simon Says Have a Heart challenge.
Thanks again! Blessings~ Birgit

Great design Birgit! Your paper pieced patchwork heart is just perfect! Great background, and finding a sentiment that fit perfectly into one of those chicken-wire spaces! Happy (early) birthday to your daughter!
pretty card
This is so pretty. I like how you have some stamping scattered around your focal point, but have also left a lot of breathing room/white space. P.S.--I see you are from Maine, and my daughter is going to be attending college in Maine. I'm very tuned in to Maine these days.
So pretty!
You did a fab job with the paper piecing and your heart almost pops off that beautiful embossed background. Gorgeous take on this months' theme! ( I am not good in fussy cutting and paper piecing....so I am in awe of this....)
Adorable quilted paper heart! I love the embellishing and the use of the Hexagon plate in the background!
Gorgeous use of elements and design! Love the felt flower and lacy heart! Thanks so much for playing Simon Says Stamp Wednesday “Have A Heart” Challenge!

Beautiful card! Love your paper-pieced heart! (I don't even TRY to do what Meslissa does....grin.)
Beautiful patchwork heart!
So very pretty! The patchwork heart adds a sweet country charm! Happy hopping!
This is lovely! Love how you combined the papers on the heart! Great card!
This card is STUNNING! I really love that subtle pattern in the background and the heart itself is genius! I would've never thought to paper-piece together a heart like that, but I love the effect! I feel utterly inspired now, so thank you for sharing your crazy good skills here!
A very sweet card! I too love quilting and paper piecing. Your card with the quilted heart and flower and leaves is adorable.
Ooo! So cute! I love that patchwork heart!!
From your hexagon embossed background to your paper-pieced heart and your scattered hearts, this Valentine is just the sweetest. You're much better at mimicking Melissa than I am, Birget.
