Hello friends~ I finally found time in my craft room this week to play along with PTI's Make-It Monday Challenge. Lexi has a great video about using sentiment strips as a grounding point for images. I love her CAS style and using this design technique.
I used Bowl of Sunshine and a Second Helping of Sunshine for this card. I added a candle from WPlus9's Merry & Bright and the sentiment is from Twig Wreath. I stamped the sentiment so crooked on the banner, it bugs me! It looked straight when I was stamping it (grrrr.....). And do you notice the second white stitched panel? That's because I tried to stamp a background like Lexi did on her card, behind the bowl of apples and it didn't stamp completely. When I tried to re-stamp it I made even more of a mess. I think my mojo is suffering from heat exhaustion from all this heat and humidity. Oh well, it's still kind of a cute card, crooked sentiment and all.
Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings~ Birgit

It's an absolutely adorable card, crooked sentiment and all! I hear ya about all the heat and humidity, but I don't think it affected your card at all Birgit! I love that sentiment, and how cute to put the candle on the scale! Love the bright and fresh colors in this sweet little card too! Cute, cute card my friend!! :0)
Oh this is PERFECT! I adore that red gingham designer paper, what a great choice! I tis a cute card, I find the stamped sentiment original, you meant to do that, yes? :) Great card!
I think it turned out great, Birgit! I love that sweet little bowl of fruit!
This is so cute, especially the color combination you used with just a hint of gingham paper. The card looks great - no one notices our "mistakes" unless we point them out. We are our own worst critics!
Hey you made it work! It's a sweet country looking card!
that is so cute, I totally understand not getting the sentiment straight, and realizing after it is stuck down good.... I think this heat and humidity is affecting me too, Autumn will be here before we know it :)
I love this!

Oh friend! I would not have noticed your oopsies unless you pointed them out : ) A darling country card! I really like the way you added the candle! SWEET

We are our own worst critics. Patti is right, we wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed them out. Very cute card!
