Good morning friends~ It's my turn to post over at the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog and today I've got a Bridal Shower gift set to share with you.
The neat thing about this gift set is that the grooms last name is Swan so I thought the Swan from Quickuts would be a perfect starting point. Act fast if you want to pick up one of these beautiful dies from Dies R Us as they are currently on closeout so it's a really good deal!
I started by cutting the frame using Sue Wilson Australian Collection Background Die out of shiny gold card stock. This card measures 5x7" and the frame fits it perfectly. I then stamped a polka dotted background onto a piece of blue card stock using versamark ink and then heat embossed the polka dots in gold. After cutting, coloring and assembling the Quickutz swans I added a die cut "Celebrate", also cut from shiny gold card stock. The card came together very quickly.
You can't give a gift without a tag to match. As you can see it the photo, I used the gift bag as my jumping off point for colors and design.
The "bride to be" loved the gift and especially the card. Big smiles all around!
Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Swan!
Here's the dies I used to create this card that can be found at Dies R Us

Beautiful color! I love how the last name matches your beautiful swans and how you put them together creating that little heart--love birds! I also love the double layered tags, so fun and so pretty! The blue and gold are just spectacular together!!!
Wow, Birgit! Beautiful gift set - the multiple loose layers in your pretty tag, and the gorgeous card. I love that the new couple's list name is Swan. Wouldn't that be a fun last name to have? Your ingenuity and kindness will mean so much to them! Beautifully done! hugs, de
Lovely! How nice to have the card and tag set match, and your coloring against the gold is rich and vibrant! Love how the swans form a heart when they kiss!
How wonderful to match your card and tag with their surname! I love your card Birgit, the swans make a fabulous centrepiece in the gorgeous gold frame. I particularly like the polka dot background stamp too, something I have not seen before. What a useful stamp that must be.
