Good morning friends~ I've got a post to share that does NOT include a card. Can you believe it??
This is a set of Chocolate dipped ornaments that my daughter and I made to hang on our Christmas trees.
I found these cheap inexpensive plastic ball at Michael's Craft Store last year on clearance for .50 cents a box.
We dribbled hot glue over the tops of the balls and let them cool. After all the balls were dripped with glue we spray painted them using Krylon Chocolate Brown spray paint
This took a bit of time, allowing the paint to dry and making sure that there was no original color showing through.
Once they were all painted and dried, we used a small paint brush to brush glue onto the dripped part of the ball and added glitter that looked like sugar coating from Martha Stewart and finished them off with a little red gingham bow. My daughter had to leave before they were dry so I got creative and made a candy box to put them in.
I made the box out of printed paper and cut a window out of the center using a spellbinders die and added a piece of acetate for the window.
Each of the balls were place in cupcake papers, like individual little chocolates.
I made a tag using Clearly Besotted Little Pudding and a sentiment from MFT.
When I brought these to church to deliver them to my daughter, her husband thought they were real chocolates and wanted to open them up and eat one!
What a fun craft to share with your kids, young and old!
I'll be adding this project to the following challenges:
