Happy Friday! I'm getting this card I made for WPlus9's Throwback Thursday challenge, in just under the wire!.
I used their Quilt Cuts 2 and Unforgettable to create these two adorable baby cards. I'm still as much in love with these little elephants as I was when they first came out. They're incredibly versatile!!
I'll also be adding one of these cards into the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday ~ something new
Word Art Wednesday ~ anything goes
CASology ~ simple
City Crafters ~ say hello, wave goodbye
And while I had the Unforgettable set out, I made this darling tag I needed for a winter birthday. What amazing timing since the new challenge just came out for Tag You're It! and the inspiration is an elephant!
In place of the red balloon, I used the stocking cap from Top Dog Dies Cardinal set. I couldn't help but use the adorable little cardinal in the set too. He's too perfect for winter!
I'll be adding the tag to the Tag You're It! Challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me some love! Blessings~ Birgit
Good morning friends! Did you know there are only 74 more days til' spring already? I'm ready to skip the cold winter weather and move right on to spring, but living in Maine tells me, "no"! So my next best option is to start playing with flower stamps and bright, springy colors! This first card was made for the Make-It Monday A La Carte challenge, where I chose Dawn McVey's previous challenge of stamping with Neutrals.
My neutral stamping is done using Fine Linen (kraft) ink on the flower stems and petals from Petite Pots. I also used the colors from ColorQ
I used PTI's Fine Linen (kraft), Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush & Spring Rain.
My second card uses the colors from Color Throwdown and keeping with the stamping with neutrals idea.
I did some ink smooshing on the background of a piece of Tim Holtz water color paper and stamped the flower from PTI's Flower Favorite's using Melon Berry, Orange Zest and Soft Stone.
I'll also be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me some love! <3 Blessings~ Birgit
This month starts the new new year and a new challenge from Happy Little Stampers called the CASE Challenge.
Here is Kylie's beautiful card to kick off the new challenge and the new year.

Beautiful, right?
Now here's my CASE of her card:

I started by using Ken Oliver Color Burst Powder in Ultramarine that my dear friend Marcia sent me for Christmas. It was so fun to watch the magic happen when I sprayed my powdered panel of cardstock with water. Too cool!! Then I used all kind of dots in different sizes and stamped them using Momento's Wedding Dress ink, giving it a Bokeh effect. Then I cut my dried panel using MFT's "Love" Die-namics and added the rest of the sentiment using silver embossing powder.
Be sure to stop by the Happy Little Stampers blog to check out this challenge
and join in on the fun!
Just popping in with one more card that meets the sketch requirements for Freshly Made Sketches.
I used PTI's Phrase Play #9 and some punched snowflakes using a Martha Stewart punch.
It's kind of hard to tell in the picture, but I sprayed some glimmer mist onto the punched snowflakes to give them some shine and added gems to the centers.
The insides of my cards are quite often neglected so this year I'm trying to make the insides pretty too.
I'll also be entering this card into the Simon Says Monday Challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings~ Birgit
Hello and happy new year! I'm playing along with this week's Make-it Monday with Laurie where the challenge is to add color to your stamping.
I used the Turning A New Leaf dies and coordinating stamps from Embroidered Elegance for the leaves. The sentiment is from Ruby Rose. I stamped the flowers from Happiness in Bloom and added color with Prisma colored pencils and topped the centers off with one of the Button Stacks die cuts. Here's a closer look.
Be sure to stop by Nicole's blog to watch Laurie's video and join in on the fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings~ Birgit
