Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #390

Hello ~ It's time for another delightful Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!  Just look at this fabulous inspiration photo.  Use the colors Slate, Ballet and Gold or colors like them and join in on the fun!

Now on to my card:

For my card, I used Lawn Fawn's Into The Woods set.  I cut a piece of white linen card stock and cut the edge using Pretty Pink Posh's Stitched Borders 4.  I stamped the heart border stamp along the edge along with some slate colored clouds from the set and cut the stars out of gold card stock.

I stamped the fox onto a white heart cut using Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Hearts and colored the fox in using Copics.  I added some foam tape under the heart and stamped panel to add dimension.  A strip of gold and a strip of patterned paper to add color and interest.   The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Shoot For The Stars.

Some Winter Fun!

Good morning friends~  I've got a couple of cards today that combine the December Simon Says Stamp Kit of the Month  with stamps from Stampingbella, also available at Simon Says.  

 

I created a window on the front of the card that included some shaker snowflakes from the SSS. December kit.  They don't shake and move around as freely as they would on a regular shaker card because the snowflakes are pressed between two pieces of acetate.  I used an Elizabeth Craft Design Dotted Scalloped Oval to frame the opening and added some little banners using printed papers from the kit.  The sentiment from the December kit is so adorable!  

This is the inside of the card.  The image is called Maggie with Penguin but I think it's discontinued and I probably got the last one as I couldn't find it when I searched on their site for it. I was happy for the time to practice using my copics, coloring these little cutie pies!  I stamped some snowflakes in the background using stamps from the kit and the rest of the sentiment.  I would choose making snow angels too!

Here's a better picture and a close up the little Maggie looking through the window.  It's hard to get good pictures using acetate.  I'm not a very good photographer and don't know how to stop the glare from the light.  

This is Valerie with her snowball.  I remember bundling my kids up like that when they were young.  They could hardly move from all the winter gear I layered on them but that didn't stop them from having fun in the snow.  I cut a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 4 out of printed paper from the kit for the pretty stitched edging on the left.  I heat embossed some snowflakes from the kit onto a piece of gray vellum and laid the image over the top of that.  Some Poppystamps Frosty Snowflake Buttons to finish it off.

Stampingbella is fairly new to me.  I just discovered their adorable images about a month ago and I am head over heels crazy over them!

A Quick CAS Valentine Card

Good morning friends~  Just thought I'd pop on here and share a card I made using amazing products from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Now is the time to start planning your Valentine card making and ECD has everything you'll need to make someone you love feel very special.

 

This Diamond Background panel is available soon and  it makes the perfect backdrop for any occasion.  I cut it out of white card stock and applied it to a white card base for a CAS style card.

Next, I cut two smaller hearts from Stitched Hearts and added some Candied Apple Distress Ink using a blending tool.

I cut the "XOXO"  from Love Sentiments out of white card stock that had Clear Double Sided Adhesive on the top.  Remove the release sheet and rub some Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to the top.

I adhered the two hearts onto the card base and popped the smaller heart up using foam tape.  The glittery "X's & O's" were adhered to the top of the small heart.

I cut one of the Arrows the same way I cut the "X's & O's and added Antique Silver Silk Microfine Glitter and adhered it over the larger heart.

A quick and easy CAS card!

My daughter's birthday is on Valentine's Day so I thought I'd make her a birthday card using this cute owl from the January kit.  The hearts that I used as balloons are also part of the kit.  

I also wanted to make a special thank you card to send out to Melinda, the owner of The Die Cut Club.  She's been so generous to give me an entire set this month and last month to give away.  Thanks Melinda!!

Elizabeth Craft Designs January Challenge

Good morning friends~  Today's card goes along with the new designer challenge starting today over at the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog "From The Heart".

   "Lets create a card/project that incorporate any of the heart dies in some way. Hearts can be used for so many different occasions one of which is Valentines Day which is coming up next month. Make your card for whatever occasion your heart desires."

I made a fun little easel card to help inspire you.

I created an easel fold card using white card stock and added the largest Scalloped Heart and this pretty Lace Heart.  

I cut the words "I Love You" from Love Sentiments out of Rich Black Soft Finish Cardstock that had a strip of Clear Double Sided Adhesive over the top and rubbed on some Basic Black Silk Microfine Glitter over the top and added them to the layered hearts.

The X's and O's from General Sentiments was stamped on the inside.

Elizabeth Craft Designs ~ Winter Birds

Good morning friends~ I just thought I'd pop in an share another card with you featuring some amazing products from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

My son's birthday is in just a couple of days.  He's now living in California where they don't get snow like we do here in Maine so I thought these Birds dressed in their winter gear would be fun to send along with his birthday wishes.

I cut a white card stock panel using the Stitched Rectangles and added some Tumbled Glass Distress ink to the inside of the rectangle while still in the die.  I like the white border it leaves on the card panel.  I also cut a Postage Stamp Rectangle out of white and added some Antique Linen to back up the front panel with.

The birds are cut out of 85lb White Soft Finish Cardstock and I added color using distress inks and a blending tool.  I love the way the colors look on the Soft Finish Cardstock.  A cute little sentiment and "Happy Birthday" from General Sentiments finish off the CAS winter birthday card.

Die Cut Club Give Away! Day 3

Hello friends~ Here's the third of my posts using the some wonderful die cuts from The Die Cut Club of Green Duck Sales.

For this card, I stamped some stitched flower stems and simply added the die cut hearts to the stems to make these pretty heart flowers.
