These cards were inspired by my dear friend Marcia and her card found here. It made me think of vintage ladies handkerchiefs and I just had to give one a try, maybe two... or perhaps four!
I used MFT's Blueprints #20 to cut the scalloped panel, which is the base for my hankies. Then I used PTI's Embroidered Elegance and Stitched Sentiments to create the floral patterns on the hankies.
I'll also be entering one of these cards into the Word Art Wednesday Challenge.
Thanks so much for looking! Blessings~ Birgit

Oh Birgit, these are SO pretty! And they remind me of handkerchiefs my mom used to have that someone she knew had embroidered for her...hmmmmm, I wonder if she still has them?!! That die is perfect for making your handkerchiefs too, and they are all just beautifully "embroidered"! Lovely, lovely cards that are sure to bring a smile to the recipients face!! :0)
These are truly beautiful. What an amazing set. Love that you drew inspiration from needlepoint and old time handkerchiefs. Thanks so much for playing along at CASology this week.
What a wonderful collection of cards! I love the angled panels, flowers, and especially the thoughtful sentiments!
Each one is beautiful! I love your "hankies", I remember my grandmother with ones just like them!
This is so beautifully elegant and delicate Birgit!

What a fun design and love the colors and variation. So delighted that you joined us at Word Art Wednesday. A new challenge is starting today and I hope you visit us again. Leaving you with the inspiration of God's Word found in Jeremiah 29:12-13 and the Lord tells us, "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Have an awesome day!
