Monthly Challenge With Marcia!

Good Monday morning! I can't believe we're at the end of November already! Time really does fly by!
Each month, my sweet friend Marcia and I have been giving each other challenges and this month really snuck up on me! I'm posting a lil' bit late but at least I'm posting!! This month our challenge was water coloring. That was a good stretch for me because I need all the help and practice I can get. Here's my cards:
The first card uses Sweet 'N Sassy's Christmas Light and Light of Christmas. I heat embossed the candle image in white and used water colors to color it in.

For this card, I used a grid pattern and selectively water colored some squares. MFT's Cup of Warmth is so fun to play with!!

I struggle when it comes to water coloring backgrounds and this was was a second attempt, as the first ended up in the circular file. Not quite sure how I feel about it, but I was running out of time and had to get another card done.
I heat embossed some snowflakes in white and added the sweet sled from PTI's Six Feet Deep.

Be sure to stop by Marcia's blog and see her beautiful creations!!
We really appreciate your visits and your feedback!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings~ Birgit

I adore all of your water coloring. I really admire how you have used the water colors in such different ways on all of your cards. I find the background coloring to be the most difficult (I think I am a bit of a control freak), but you have even nailed that technique.

I think you did a great job on all 3 cards Birgit! I love the watercoloring on your first card...it looks so professional to me! And so pretty too!! And the background (grid) on your 2nd card is just way too cool! Absolutely love how you selectively only highlighted a few of them...looks like you had so much control over the watercoloring when we both know there isn't a lot of control with watercoloring...fabulous! And your background on your third card is awesome! I love that you used non traditional colors, and made it a fun and bright Christmas card. And I really like the peeks of the white embossed snowflakes in the background too! You did such a fantastic job on this challenge Birgit...think I'll have to pick something harder for you next time! :0) Thank you my dear friend for playing along with me...I love our little challenges!! :0)

Great job on all three cards. Again as with Marcia's the third one is my favorite and I think you did a fabulous job on the background.
