Color Isolation with PTI

Good morning friends... I made this card on Monday night for the PTI Make-It Monday challenge. Ashley has a great video about Color Isolation.

I used Doodlie-Do, one of my favorite stamp sets to play with.

The sentiment is from their Christmas freebie, One Big Happy.

I stamped and extra dot from the center of the flower and popped it up to give it dimension.

As I mentioned I made this card on Monday and was planning on posting it yesterday until my whole day fell apart. My niece, at 27 years old, died yesterday morning they think from a heart attack. We just got back from vacation and 3 days later lost my niece. Last year at this very same time, we came back from vacation and 4 weeks later lost my mom and my aunt 2 months later. I'm still in shock and disbelief.
I didn't want to overlook your visits and comments from all my scheduled posts last week while we were away. Your encouragement and kindness means so much to me. I meant to get back to visiting each of your blogs and leaving some love in return. I just think it's going to take me longer than expected. The medical examiner is doing an autopsy on my niece and I don't know the timing of everything right now. Thanks for hanging in there with me. Thanks for your love and encouragement and mostly thanks for any prayers you can say for my family as we go through yet another great loss.

Thanks for stopping by. Blessings~ Birgit

So sorry to hear that your very young niece has passed. It is specifically hard to loose a young person who has so much to live and experience. Cyber hugs and prayers for you and your family. I love your card, they draw me in every time. Love the bright colors and the simply clever design.

Beautiful card Birgit! You always do such wonderful things with Doodlie-Do and as much as I love that set, I am so intimidated by it, so I rarely use it! And you know many, many prayers and hugs are being sent your way for you and your sister and family during this tender time. Hang in there and know you are loved!!

Oh, Birgit, I am terribly sorry about so many losses in your dear family, and so close together. I used to be able to grieve and continue moving in Life whenever someone died or a particular hardship struck, but somehow, in the past decade (I am 64), I broke. We sustained several deaths and health issues in a very short time, and it was too much for me. I'm recovering now, even though my father passed away yesterday. Still, I can tell that I'm better than I was a few years ago. It's so hard because sometimes, when there are several losses close together, our grief changes, and it's different than past griefs.

I didn't mean to turn this comment around - sorry - you are in my prayers, and my sympathies to your family. May Gentleness, Love and Mercy blanket your heart during these days.

Regarding your card - I love love LOVE LOVE IT! It's happy, cheerful, beautifully colored, wonderful design elements and so FUN! I'd love making a card like that. I need to take classes that teach a fun, yet tailored, style, where everything is crisp and clean, yet beautifully layered with amazing colors and papers!

I am your newest Google and Bloglovin follower. hugs, de

It's always such a delight to visit your blog to see your fabulous creations, and this card is no exception. However, Birgit, I was so saddened to read about the loss of your very young niece. Between this year and last year's sad events upon your return, you're going to be reluctant to vacation again. Keeping you and your family in my prayers...my deepest sympathy.

What a lovely card! I like how you dress up the side so cute, but such a sad story too =( Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
