Sunflowers and Snails

Hello, hello!  It's my turn to post today over at the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.
Today I have a couple of whimsical cards for you using Cheery Lynn Designs - Sunflower Set.  Let's get started!

For my first card I cut a frame using Impression Obsession All In One Rectangle Frame.  I really love this die because it cuts multiple frames in graduating shapes and sizes in one pass.  I used the outermost frame on this card and stamped the sentiment around the frame.  I cut the sunflower out of colored card stock and added some distress inks to the edges to add some depth and interest.  The plant pot is cut using Cheery Lynn's Nested Flower Pots, again adding some distress ink to the edges.
Moving on to this cute little Die-Namites Snail.  He's currently on closeout so you might want to grab him while you still can!

This die cuts all the pieces out at once so I used white card stock and colored each piece using copics and then assembled this little guy.  And here's my completed card:

I have a couple of bonus cards for you because I just couldn't stop playing with the sunflower dies!
For this card, I cut the Impression Obsession Square Border Die out of the left side of the front card panel.  I added the sunflower and a Memory Box Wonderful Watering Can.  I gently curved the sentiment to wrap around the sunflower.

And on this card I used a circle cover plate and added the sunflower and a sentiment banner for a quick and easy card.

Here's a list of products I used:

I'm also adding this card to the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit

I am in love with the frame around the first card and absolutely LOVE the stamped sentiment that goes around it...where is that stamp from? And I love that circle die cut behind the sunflower on the last card too! Fabulous, fabulous cards my friend!! :0)

Wow, Birgit! A fabulous tutorial, and even MORE fabulous card designs featuring that glorious sunflower. Thank you for showing how you color the white cardstock so the elements are shaded, and for the use of assorted backgrounds. I especially like your tip about stamping around the frame! Wonderful card, and I have pinned it! hugs, de
