Happy Wednesday everyone! It's the 25th of the month so that means it's time for PTI's May Blog Hop!
They have a sweet inspiration photo this month:
I was inspired by the soft water coloring and the layout
I used Bitty Butterflies and stamped them onto a piece of water color card stock that I spritzed first with water. I used Harvest Gold, Pink Lady, Mint Julep, Winter Wisteria, Orange Zest and Spring Rain. I let the colors of each butterfly bleed and then stamped on the detail lines of each butterfly while it was still damp. Once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Painted Petals in Mint Julep and Spring Rain. I framed the finished panel with their Pretty Frame Cover Plate.
Since I had the Painted Petals set out, I thought I'd give this challenge another try for the Make-It Monday Challenge, doing a masked background using water colors. I was hoping the colors wouldn't bleed under the mask tape and thankfully it worked!
Here's the finished water colored panel after I removed the mask.
I heat embossed a sentiment from A Cheerful Heart stamp set in gold and then framed the image using the rest of the elements from the Pretty Frame Cover Plate.

It is no surprise that I love both of these cards. How did it get to be the 25th already? Love how you were inspired by the hop picture and the pale and soothing colors on both cards. It is a pleasure to be next to you.lol

Your water colored butterflies are SOOOO pretty Birgit! Definitely going to have to try stamping the detail while the water color is still wet...LOVE that look! Amazing, Birgit! Both are gorgeous but I have a real soft spot for those Painted Petals. Can not imagine how you coloured the background for them, but you did! Mine would have all run together. And the Pretty Frame is the perfect finishing touch.
