Butterfly Rainbow

Good morning friends~  Is the sun shining where you are?  We're supposed to have a beautiful day here on the east coast, with temperatures up into the 80's.  This is the kind of weather I love!!  So before I get outside for the day, I thought I'd share a card I made for the challenge going on over at The Sisterhood of Crafters, where the theme is Birds, Bee's, Butterflies.  You can use one or use them all.
Clearly I went with butterflies.  ;0)
I started with a piece of Canson 140lb Cold Press Watercolor Paper and placed the butterflies from Papertrey Ink into my Misti, starting at the bottom left corner.   Using Distress Oxide Ink, I inked up the butterflies in rainbow colors, blending the colors with a sponge dauber as I went along.

Once the stamping was done I sprayed the panel with water using a Mini Mister and let the colors bleed.  The green butterflies look more like yellow where the color ran.  I'm not sure why but I still like how it came out.  Then I stamped the sentiment and heart using Altenew's Beautiful Inside stamp set.

I hope you're able to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.  I'm so very thankful for the warmer weather.  It makes staying at home so much more bearable.

I'll also be adding this card to the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Time Out Challenge ~ FREE

Thanks for stopping by!
