Polka Dot Birthday

Here's a card I made to enter into the challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room. The challenge was to use polka dots. How FUN! Polka dots are so cheerful. They make me think of a celebration and party so I used them to make a fun and classy birthday card!

DREAM

Hello paper crafting friends~ I'm back to post a card I made for the RRR challenge. This challenge was called "Show Me The Green & Ribbon". My card is more springy with touches of green but I thought I'd still enter it into the challenge. What do I have to lose? Right?
I made this card to give to a sweet young girl that I've been sending "Happy Mail" to, to brighten her days.

SMILE

Wow! Where does the time go? It's been so long since my last post, and I've been right here at home but life sure does have a way of getting in the way of my crafting time. It felt good to get back in my crafty space and spend some time making some much needed cards. I'll start with the lovely color palette from the Fusion Card Challenge. Just look at this color combination and the sketch was a fun one too!

Here's my take on the challenge.

Papertrey February Blog Hop Challenge

Here's a set of six Easter cards I made for the PaperTrey Ink Blog Hop Challenge.
I had to do some fussy cutting, which isn't my favorite thing to do, but I was happy with how they all came out. I love the soft pastels all mixed together. I just mixed and matched until I was happy with each color combination and now I'm well into getting my Easter cards done for this year! Thanks for looking! Blessings~ Birgit

One Layout ~ Two Designs

Hello friends~ As I was planning my masculine card for the "One For The Boys" challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon, it struck me to take the same layout and base of the card and make one masculine and one feminine and see how they look side by side. Here's my cards:
I had to use ribbon since it's a RRR challenge but what's a masculine card without metal? I added the square brad and an old key to give it some manliness.
I added a bit of softness to the feminine card by using some cheesecloth and velour flowers with a button tied on. Now it's your turn! Make two exact card bases and turn one into a masculine card and one into a feminine one. If you do, leave me a comment. I'd love to come see what you did! Thanks for visiting. Blessings~ Birgit
