Water Color Wash with PTI

Good morning friends~  I had a chance to create a card for this week's Make-It Monday with Laurie Schmidlin.  It was her first MIM video and she did an amazing job sharing her ideas on creating water colored backgrounds.
I need lots of help in this area, in fact, I don't even own any water color paints so I had to use re-inkers for my card.
After making this card, I finally broke down and ordered some Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor paints.  I can't wait for them to arrive!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by!  Blessings~ Birgit

Fabulous background Birgit. Lovely graduation card. Oh wow, you were in California. That is so close to Washington. Would have been fun to connect with you. Oh well another time.

You nailed this technique, and the re-inkers look wonderful! Your embossed word images came out vivid and clear. Mind if I case? I need a graduation card, and love the Bible verse through the gorgeous color, with cap and diploma, and the way you topped it off. You're always so clever with your cards! Hope you love your new watercolors. Let me know how they work out. Hugs.

Water color backgrounds are very hard for me to make since I'm heavy handed at everything.......your's came out great. The colors go perfectly with each other. Good luck with the new water colors you ordered. Can't wait to see the beautiful cards you will be making with them.

Hi Birgit,

Birgit, your graduation card is AMAZING! Your color wash, the embossed Psalm and the grad die-cuts really finished it off nicely. Great color choices for your two layers beneath your focal image!
