Hello card making friends~ I'm here to post this card I made for the Sweet 'N Sassy Friday challenge to make my card colorful, using at least 5 colors.

I used one of their lovely Nature Silhouette sets and inked the images carefully using my ink blocks and then spritzed the stamp with water to give the image a watercolor effect. Thanks so much for looking! Blessings~ Birgit

Sweetest Birthday!

Hello blogging friends~ I made this card today for Dawn's Make it Monday challenge to try debossed images. I just recently received my PTI order with the "Summer Sweetness Stamp Set and haven't had a chance to ink it up yet, so that was my weapon of choice today!

I was a little hasty in not lining my stamp up properly on the bottom popscicle. Guess next time I'd better pay more attention. I also should have stamped my images off first and re-inked the stamps, as I think the coverage of the ink would have been better since it was the first time I've used it. It still counts as an entry, so I went with it. Thanks so much for looking! Blessings~ Birgit

Flowers & Balloons... As You Wish!

Hello paper crafting friends~ I'm here to post this card I made for The Shabby Tea Room challenge, to use flowers and/or balloons on a card. You get extra points for using both so this is what I came up with.

It's fairly clean and simple since I used printed paper from My Minds Eye, called "Bramble Rose". I am so in love with this new paper pack!! The banner was cut from a paper scrap using "Heart 2 Heart #5" from PTI and the balloons are also from PTI's "Birthday Style" set. I added some Glossy Accents to the top balloon to make it shine! The sentiment is stamped and embossed in gold, using the same "Birthday Style" set.

Green Thumb ~ PTI Make it Monday

Hello PTI crafters! I'm here to share with you a card I made for the PTI Make it Monday challenge making an artsy water color background.

I used an oldie but goodie set, Green Thumb! I enjoyed seeing the colors run and blend, though I think I let mine dry too long before working the stamped images with water. To add a little more color, I dipped my paintbrush onto the ink pad itself to give the images more depth. Thanks so much for looking! Blessings~ Birgit

Envelope Wraps

Hello PTI friends~ It's been a while since I've posted as we were gone to Ohio for our son's college graduation and I'm just now getting my crafting feet back under me. While we were gone, I missed the PTI Make it Monday on envelope wraps. I was so disappointed when I started looking at everyone's amazing creations. I just had to try some, so here are mine; "A day late and a dollar short"! Ah well, better late than never.

And since it was so fun making them, I had to make another one.
