Sparkling Joy!

Hello friends!  This is my final post for the Cut Cardstock design team and I wanted to give a super BIG "Thanks" to Cindy and Amber for giving me this opportunity to join their talented team of designers for the past year.  I've enjoyed using so many amazing products from Cut Cardstock and I'm now a committed customer as well!  There are so many choices of quality products from Cut Cardstock and you can't beat the prices and special sales each month.

My project for you today uses White Classic Linen Cardstock and Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock which are both on sale until the end of the day.

Here's a sneak peek at the products I used:

I started by cutting an A2 sized panel of Neenah Solar White Cardstock using the background die.  I then used the die cut panel as a stencil and added some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink to the front of a White Classic Linen Cardstock.

I glued two strips of Silver (POW) Glitter Paper to the left and right edge using Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue .  I also splattered some light grey ink to the background.

I cut the Altenew Tulips out of White Classic Linen Cardstock and stamped them using the coordinating stamps.  After stamping the tulips I stamped the solid image again using The Essential Glue Pad and sprinkled them with Stardust Glitter from Stampin' Up and set them asside to dry before assembling them with Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Once the card was assembled, I stamped the sentiment from the Tulips set.
Here's a close up of the wonderful texture you see when stamping on Linen cardstock.

I hope you'll check out the products I used in today's post and take advantage of this month's sale on all Classic Crest  and Linen Cardstock.  Don't forget to add coordinating Basis Envelopes to your shopping cart!
I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:

PTI Make-It Monday ~ Mask & Stack

Hello ~  I'm popping in with a card I made for this week's Make-It Monday challenge.  Besty encouraged us to create a card using "mask & stack" method.
My card is pretty basic but fun!
I stamped the three balloons in the foreground first, adding the balloon detail and then went on masking and stamping from there.

I used Birthday Balloons and Birthday Strings to create my card.

You can find Betsy's video here.
Hope you'll play along!

An Elephant ~ Just For You!

Did you think I was really going to give you an elephant?  Why, yes I am!
I hope this card  brings a smile to your face.
I made it for the current challenge going on over at Color Throwdown Color Challenge
The purple color I used is a bit more muted than the color on the  inspiration photo but hopefully it will pass muster.
I used dies from Marianne Designs (Elephant), Echo Park (Palm Leaves) and Altenew (Balloon ~ Birthday Greetings).
I'll also be adding this card to the following challenges:
AAA Cards ~ Die Cuts Only (except for the sentiment, it's all die cuts)

Inspiring Shaker Card

Hello there.  Take the time to let someone know you're thinking of them by making and sending some snail mail.  Here's a sweet shaker card using Cut Cardstock Linen cardstock.

Here's a snapshot of products I used:

I started by die cutting the Bright White Linen cardstock using the Say It With Florals Die and then stamping the flowers around the framed opening using the coordinating Say It With Florals stamp set.  I wish you could see how wonderful the stamping looks on the textured linen.  I love the look!  Once I was done with the stamping, I adhered a piece of clear acetate to the back of the stamped frame using Score Tape Double Sided Adhesive.

I then cut 5 of the same dies out of the 160# White Cougar cardstock.  This is the perfect cardstock for creating shaker cards because it is thick and sturdy.  Because of it's thickness I had to run these through my machine twice but I got nice clean cuts each time.

I then layered the die cut panels together using Tomow Mono Liquid Glue.  Just look at that depth!

I heat embossed the sentiment in black onto the Aqua Basis Cardstock.
I then assembled the shaker card, adding sequins to the inside window and adhered the layered panel, using Score Tape Double Sided Adhesive around the edges and more Tombow Mono Liquid Glue around the detailed areas of the die cut.
Some pearl gems were added to the centers of the two die cut flowers to finish this card off.
I hope you'll check out the products I used in today's post and take advantage of this month's sale on all Classic Crest  and Linen Cardstock.  Don't forget to add coordinating Basis Envelopes to your shopping cart!

PTI 11th Anniversary Challenge

Hello ~ Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 11th anniversary this month ~ Congratulations PTI!
I chose Lizzie Jone's sketch to play along with their Anniversary celebrations.

I used the Circles Cover Plate, Jungle Buddies and a sentiment from Fillable Frames #4 to create not 1, not 2 but three adorable critter cards!

I have a bonus card for another challenge going on at Double D Challenges using sequins.

I used a couple of water color ink stamp sets to color the background and then laid this lovely rose die cut from Winnie & Walter over the top.
The sentiment is from PTI.

I'll also be adding this card to the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Sunday Stamps ~ Pops of Pink
