Spellbinders Invitation ~Eyelet Lace Frame ~ Garden Shutters

Good morning friends~
This is my last post for 2021 as I eagerly look forward to what 2022 will bring.  I'm super excited to be staying on with Spellbinders but I'll be switching gears, designing with the amazing Becca Feeken Club Kits and the Card Kit of the Month.

Today's project uses Becca's Eyelet Lace Frame from the Garden Shutters series.  It is truly a stunning die set and is timeless in style.  This set of seven thin metal dies is full of layering rectangles that can sweetly frame any card. It also pairs perfectly with Daisy Delight Garden Shutters A2 Card Base Etched Dies and Butterfly Bliss Garden Shutters 5 x 7" Card Base Etched Dies.  You can view the Daisy Delight shutter card I made in a previous post HERE.

I added Cinch and Go Flowers and the delightful bird from Just A Tweet, which was a past Large Die of the Month.  But, did you know you can purchase past club kits without having to sign up for the monthly kit??

Daisy Delight ~ Spellbinders Invitation ~ Garden Shutters

Good morning friends~  I'm happy to be sharing this sweet, interactive card with you today, that I made using Daisy Delight from Spellbinders Garden Shutters series.

Daisy Delight Garden Shutters A2 Card Base Etched Dies is part of the Garden Shutters Collection by Becca Feeken. This set of 14 thin metal dies creates an interactive A2 sized card base that open two shutter windows at the same time to reveal another design. Other elements in the set helps to embellish the card, including sentiments and those sweet layered daisy flowers.

Here is the card when the shutters are flipped open.  It's cool, right??  I used the previously released Large Die of the Month Curved Border to decorate the top of the card.

Who doesn’t love an interactive card? Amazing Paper Grace has added the Garden Shutters Collection for another fun element of motion. It creates a beautiful card, and with one pull of a tab, the shutters open to reveal a sweet surprise sentiment! There are two card options to choose from.  Each set has all the elements you need to assemble and embellish.

I also wanted to make a card using just the daisies in this set, showing you how versatile this set can be.

The sentiment is from the Layered Mix & Match Sentiments.  I cut the detailed layer out of gold shimmer cardstock and added a black background.  The daisies are covered in Silk Microfine Glitter.

That's it for me today.  Two delightful cards from one set!

Gingerbread Tags ~ Dies R Us

Hello everyone~  Dies R Us Challenge Blog is starting a new challenge and since it's so close to Christmas, I thought I'd share with you a few tags that I made using some of the amazing dies I get from Dies R Us.

I like to mix and match my dies to see how well they compliment each other.  For these tags, I started by cutting the Marianne Designs Hot Chocolate cup out of soft plaid patterned paper.  I buy all my Marianne Designs Dies during the Special Order Events at Dies R Us.   The snowflake on the front of the cup and the whipped cream is from Elizabeth Craft Designs Hot Chocolate.  I added a candy cane from Dee's Distinctively Designs and an Elizabeth Craft Designs Gingerbread Man.  I added a bit of glue and sprinkled on some glitter to sugar up some of the sweets.

The gingerbread men were coming out so cute, so I made extras to make tags and embellishments for future cards.

Let It Snow ~ Lots of White

Good morning friends~  There's a new challenge starting up over at Double D Challenge and it's the final challenge of the year.
The theme is "Lot's of White" and they've made this beautiful mood board to inspire you.

Today's card uses two dies from Creative Expressions, Festive Collection.  Lattice Snowflake, which is the oval snowflake die and the Let It Snow Snowflakes which was a gift from Darlene and Diane, that I received just last month.

I cut each die three times and layered them to add more depth.  The top layer of the "Let It Snow" die is cut out of deep blue, shimmery cardstock, topped with aqua colored pearls.

The background is embossed with an ages old snowflake embossing folder from Sizzix.

Thank you Darlene and Diane for the gift of this wonderful "Let is Snow" Die, as well as the stencil.  I know I will enjoy using them for years to come!

Be sure to visit the Double D Challenge blog to see more amazing inspiration from my talented team members and join in on the fun~

Christmas Tag Fun~ TSOC

Hello friends~  The Sisterhood of Crafters is starting a new challenge today and it's all about "Holiday Gift Tags".  I enjoy making tags to add to Christmas gifts.
I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Teacup to make these darling gingerbread tags.  I saw these on Pinterest and knew I had to make them!  I hand drew the faces, so they're all a little wonky, but still cute as can be!

I used preprinted images for these easy tags!  I used Stitched Pinked Circles from Impression Obsession to make these.  They have a cardstock base, covered with glitter paper.

These tags have a shabby vintage style.  I used a tag die from Marianne Designs and the tree is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I added some pewter embossing to the edges of the trees.  The little doves in the trees sparkle with Silk Microfine Glitter.  They are from Dee's Distinctively Dies.  See the cute pom-pom border on the bottom of the tags?  I picked that up at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  So vintage and sweet!

For the tag base on these, I used Vintage Calligraphy set by Yvonne Creations.  I added a pine sprig from Echo Park, Holly leaves and berries from Poppystamps and the leaping dear from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Finally, these cute birdhouse tags are made using Spellbinders Build A Winter Birdhouse.

Here are a list of handy links you can use to find all the supplies I used to make these and more:

This is my last post for The Sisterhood of Crafters, as I'll be stepping down from the team.  Life has been getting busier and it was time to make some changes.
I want to give a BIG thank you to Darlene and Diane for having me on this amazing team.  I've enjoyed making new friends and being inspired by their many talents.

Come see all the fun tags that my talented team mates have made and join in on the fun!

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month ~ December

Hello everyone~  I'm back today with a card I made using the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for December.

The Layered Stitched Background die set comes with six cutting dies.  I cut the detailed frame die twice out of black cardstock and created the background for the pierced panel. Two panels fit an A2 sized card perfectly!

I cut the pierced panel out of white card stock and added the pretty layered flowers from the set, tucked slightly beneath the sentiments which was stamped in black from Christmas Time Sentiments.

The dies this month create beautiful detailed layers that when stacked together or used individually, the effect is stunning!

Coral & Dusk Color Throwdown #671

Hello friends ~ It's been a while since I've made cards to enter into challenges, but today's card is perfect for the Color Throwdown Challenge.

I used Altenew's Garden Treasure and the unique color palette to create this card.

I stamped the outline of the flowers and heat embossed them in silver.  I sponged on a bit Coral Bliss ink and then stamped just one detailed layer of the flower, using the same color.  The leaves are stamped in Dusk.  My colors came out quite a bit richer than the colors on the inspiration photo, but I still like how it came out.

Spellbinders Small Die of the Month ~ December

Hello friends~  I'm popping in with a card I made using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month club kit for December.
This months small die of the month is called Sketched Floral & Frame.  It comes with a total of 12 cutting dies and it is truly stunning and oh, so vintage!

The ornate frame has a whimsical charm that can be used for all types of cards.  I chose to use a vintage image I had in my stash.  There are three different styles of layered flowers in this set, including the flower bud.

Polar Bear Praise ~ Dies R Us

Good morning friends~ There's a new challenge starting up over at Dies R Us Challenge blog.  The theme is always "Anything Goes" so it's easy peasy to join in on the fun!

Cute! Cute!  The Sue Wilson Designs, "Polar Bear Playtime" set from Creative Expressions was one of my most recent finds during one of the Special Order events.  They just had to come home with me.

See the stitched detail on the polar bears?  These cute bears came with all the accessories you see here and more!  I added a bit of string to the sled to make it look like mama bear is really pulling her little one along.  They're bringing a gift to the Savior, just like the scene on the first Christmas.
