Fairy Tales ~ 12 Kits of Occasion

Good morning everyone ~ It's my turn to host over at the 12 Kits of Occasion blog this month and I chose a theme that's near and dear to my heart since I was a little girl..... Fairy Tales.  My kit was a little different this month because it was loaded with adorable, magical images to color (another past time that I always loved to do as a child and I still enjoy today).
Thanks Lindsey for taking the photo's that always make our kits look fabulous every month!

I also have a guest designer with me this month.  Kara from Bright Hope Creations, whom I met on my trip to Kansas.  She's the sweetest person to get to know and incredibly gifted in every way so please be sure to pop by her blog and give her some love.

Now on to the cards I made using this month's kit:
This little cutie is Tiny Towny Fairy Garden Fairy from Stampingbella.  She is as sweet as can be and I love the sentiment that comes with her.

This lovely fairy is also from Stampingbella, meet Edna the Everything Fairy.  As I was trying to think of what I was going to do with her, I remembered I had this funny sentiment stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps.  They have a great line of witty stamps.
I used the sentiment from the kit for the inside of the card.
This little mermaid from Honey Bee Stamps Swimming By couldn not be overlooked when putting together this kit.  I added sequins to her fishy body, Glossy Accents to the turtle and lots of Wink of Stella.

The mushroom dies from The Scrapping Cottage are among my favorite dies.  They look good in any color and can be used for so many different occasions!  The log house from The Scrapping Cottage makes the perfect home for Poppy Stamps Magnificent Mini Faeries.

These gnomes are also from The Scrapping Cottage.

I couldn't wait to try coloring the princess carriage from Spellbinders Pretty Princess like a pumpkin.  So cute!

MFT's Magical Dragons made an appearance in this kit.  I've wanted these little guys for a long time and finally broke down and ordered them.  They're so fun to color and give life to.

I turned this card into a shaker card.

I added some puffy stitched clouds and a sparkly star shaped birthday balloon from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Thanks for sticking with me.  I know it was a long post.  I do hope you'll stop by the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how my talented teamies used this kit.  You can find the complete list of products I used to create this kit on their blog as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

Warming Up with TupeloDesignsLLC

Hello there~  Today's cards will warm your heart!
Sprinkles the rabbit has popped by my crafty space and has been getting in to mischief ever since he arrived.
This sweet set called Sprinkles, Coffee & Tea from Your Next Stamp can be found at TupeloDesignsLLC, but there's only a couple left so hurry while you can!

The first card uses some old scraps and a sentiment from MFT called Hug in a Mug.  If you like hot chocolate, then this set is for you!  It is loaded with sweet, warm sentiments about friendship, cheer and chocolate.  What could be better than chocolate and friends?

This card features adorable papers from Bo Bunny.  The sentiment comes with the Sprinkles, Coffee & Tea set.  Don't you just love the font??

For this card I added a Sunny Studio Pumpkin and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn Pumpkin Spice.

I think this card is my favorite because of the sentiment I found from Altenew Beautiful Inside.  I had to do a little masking on the sentiment but is fit this card perfectly!  Notice the puffy little tails on Sprinkles behind?  Yes, you can find those in the store too: Craft Consortium Pom Pom Balls.  So cute!

I'll be entering one of these cards to the following challenges:

Simon Says Monday Challenge ~ Fall / Autumn

PTI ~ Stamp-A-Faire 2018

Good morning friends ~  Papertrey Ink had their annual Stamp-A-Faire this weekend and for the first time I was able to play along all day, so I have lots of pictures today so grab a cup of your favorite beverage and enjoy!  I'll try to make this quick and start with the first project I made:

Lizzie makes delightful felt flowers and I really enjoyed making this one.  I know the petals aren't right for a sunflower but I wanted the colors to look like one.  I used Happiness In Bloom dies to create the flower and leaves and Garden Variety II for the seed pack frame.
I put a pin on the back so it's a gift and a card all in one.

We planted a garden with Dawn and finally got to enjoy some stamping!  The challenge was to use 8 colors, stencil & die cut.  I stenciled the wreath from Post & Parcel stencils, stamped the flowers from Farmer's Market Florals and used coordinating dies as well as the Noted Scallop Squares.  The colors I used were Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Simply Chartreuse, Pure Poppy, Ripe Avacado, Bright Buttercup, Dark Chocolate and Smoky Shadow.  The sentiment is from Walk By Faith.

We watered our flowers with Betsy.  My watercoloring skills have much to be desired but it is what it is.  I stamped the seed pack sentiment from Garden Variety below the poppy from Botanical Blocks III.  The panel is cut using Noted: Pinked A2 Vertical Dies

We made an adorable Pop-up Box Card with Lexi.  I pulled out the flower and leaf dies from an older SAF Explore the 1940's and a tulip die from Flower Fusion #11.  The sentiment is from Garden Variety.  I also used Petite Places printed paper for each panel of the box.

Although I didn't have the materials to make my own seed paper like Heather showed us how to do on Friday night, I totally enjoyed making the gardening journal however my journal quickly went in the direction of Christmas using pre-printed papers from Post & Parcel Make-it Market kit.

All my projects ~ done!  Thanks to everyone from PTI for holding such a fun even every year.  I hope that someday I'll be able to be there in person to enjoy the fun with friends.

PTI Make-It Monday ~ Layering Patterns Over Images

Good morning ~  I'm playing along with Dawn's Make-It Monday Challenge, Layering Patterns Over Images.
What a lovely technique!

I pulled out one of my old favorites Rosie Posie & Rosie Posie Step 2, which are now retired.

the sentiment is from Scripted and I used the same die cut from Sentiment Splits Curve Vertical Die that Dawn used on her lovely card.

I admit I was a little afraid to stamp the Cover Up ~ Diamonds background stamp over the stamped images at first, but once it was done I loved the results.  Thanks Dawn for always inspiring us with your beautiful creations and ideas.

You can find all the details to join in on the fun here.

I also wanted to share a couple of pictures of an altered alarm clock I recently made using PTI products.
I picked up the clock at Goodwill.  After removing the inner parts and giving it a coat of spray paint, I created this little scene using elements from Winter Village and Cloche Quarters.
There are three layers creating this winter scene, using foam tape in between to give it depth.
I added some texture paste to the top and sprinkled some snow glitter on top while it was still wet.
I hope you like it!

Flowers Pop-Up Card - TupeloDesignsLLC

Hello ~ I wanted to let someone special know I was thinking of her and what better way to show your love, than to send some flowers.
Not the kind of flowers that come in a jar and wilt after a few days.  Bouquets of paper flowers that will last for as long as you want to keep looking at them!

I used MFT's Fresh Cut Flowers Die-Namics Dies  from Tupelo Designs.  The great thing about this set of dies is that you can cut out lots of different flower shapes, stems and leaves all in once pass through your die cutting machine.  I used scraps of cardstock I had on hand in red, pink, yellow and white.

Tonic Studios Nuvo Glue Pen is the perfect tool for assembling the flowers quickly and easily.

I hope you're inspired by todays project.

An Apple A Day...

Good morning friends~  it's that time of year when the kiddo's head back to school.  I've got a couple of cards and a revisit from past projects for you today using Market Fresh Apple A Day from Spellbinders

This die set cuts the perfect apple whether you want the inside or out.  There are two sizes of apples so they can be used alone or layered like the treat boxes I made last year that you can see below.

You can also use these dies to create pumpkins like I did here for a previous post:

You can find the full blog post here.

By nesting the small apple die inside the large apple and running them through your die cutting machine, you can create a shaker element for your cards:
I also used the Shapeabilities Layered Tile by Marissa Job on this card.

All the Market Fresh dies are currently on sale too, so visit Spellbinders and make your own fruit salad and send your kids off to school with a smile.

These dies are so versatile and timeless in design.

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
Simon Says Monday Challenge ~ Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
