12 Kits of Occasion ~ April

Happy day!  It's the end of April and that means it's time to share my cards using this months kit, which was put together by my dear friend Kara from Bright Hope Creations.
Her kit is titled "For The Graduate" and it was filled with fun elements to celebrate the Graduate.

I'll waste no time and jump right in with my cards.  This female grad silhouette is jumping for joy!

This image from Stampingbella from the "Uptown Girl" series is called Grace The Graduate.  She is so sweet!  I'll be saving this card for my neice when she graduates from college in 2022.  Wow!  That seems a long time away.

This little elephant from Lawn Fawns Wild For You set makes a cute little grad.  He is encircled in the Congratulations Circle Frame from Simon Says Stamp.

Kara's kit included all the elements to make this colorful shaker card.

Kara took the time to make these awesome tassles out of DMC embroidery floss.  They're wonderful!!  Thank you so much Kara for a fun-filled kit!

I hope you'll visit the 12 Kits of Occasion blog to see how my talented teamies were inspired to use Kara's kit.

Little Tigers Are So Amazing!

I'm popping in with a card I made for the CASology challenge.  When I saw that the theme was AFRICA, I knew right away that I wanted to use the lion dies from Marianne Designs to make my card.

I've had these dies for a while and have never used them so I made up a few of these cute cats.  I paired them with some Palm Leaves from Echo Park and a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp's Big Greetings One Of A Kind.

Here's another card I made using the same dies.  Doesn't this little guy look like he's smiling??   :0)

And the inside.

I'll also be adding this card to the following challenges:

Rudolph Kisses

Good morning everyone!  I've never been this good about making Christmas cards after Christmas but the CAS Christmas Card Challenge keeps drawing me in.  It's a good thing because last year I fell short on Christmas cards.  It's a good, GOOD thing!
I used an image from Stampingbella from the Tiny Townie series called Rita and the Reindeer.  I colored the image using Copics and added Glossy Accents to his red nose.

I'm pretty challenged when it comes to making CAS cards but I think this one will pass for the challenge.

I used papers from Unconventional Christmas by Moda Scrap Designs for the background along with CountryScapes ~ Mountains.  I added Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to the trees and snowy edges.

Hoppy Birthday! April Showers ~ Dies R Us

Hello ~ There's a new challenge starting on the Dies R Us challenge blog and the theme is "April Showers".

I pulled out one of my favorite Marianne Designs critters that are available during the special order events to create this quick and easy card.

The frogs in this set are so cute and pair perfectly with the Memory Box Splashing Puddles die.  There are a lot of umbrella dies available in the store as well.  This one from Impression Obsession is just like the one I used.

Here's a list of dies I used that can be found in the DiesRUs store.

Spring Is In Full Bloom!

Good morning friends!  The season of spring may be in full bloom but here in Maine, as in lots of other parts of the country, it's snowed for two days!  The ground is covered once again in pretty white fluff.  My tulips were up out of the ground about two inches before the snow so I hope they'll survive.  Anyway, I thought I'd share some cards I made using

Warmth Of A Christmas Lantern

Hello!  Hello!  It seems strange to me to be posting Christmas cards when I've been waiting so long for spring to arrive, but here you go, a Christmas card for the Christmas Kickstart Challenge.
There's nothing like the warm glow of a lantern so I dug out a bunch of Gina Marie Designs dies that my dear friend Marcia gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago.
This lantern die from GMD is so pretty and I'm hoping someone can inspire me with different ways to use it.
The Pine Needles from Gina Marie Designs pairs perfectly with the lantern and the Stitched Bow from Memory Box is like the cherry on top!

While I had my dies out, I made a second one because I came up a little short on Christmas cards last year and I'm hoping to be ahead of the game for this year.
I wanted to see what a black lantern would look like.  I used the same pine and bow dies, but placed them at the bottom of the lantern for a completely different look.  The frame is from Sue Wilson Designs Australian Collection Background Die.

Chocolate Eggs For Sale ~ Dies R Us ~ Anything Goes

Hello ~  Easter is right around the corner and with a new challenge starting over at the Dies R Us Challenge blog, I thought I'd combine the two.  This week's challenge theme is "Anything Goes"!

I've been on a vintage crafting kick lately and wanted to make something for Easter so I dipped some plastic eggs in some chocolately wax mixed with coffee grounds and nested them in a vintage pail with some grass and berries.

I made the sign using Frantic Stamper Elegant Happy Spring Easter Words and Memory Box Typewriter Uppercase Alphabet.

I hope you're inspired by today's project.
You can find all the details and join in on the fun here.
The winner will receive a gift card to Dies R Us.
