Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July friends!  I'm celebrating our independence with a couple of cards for the occasion.

This card using this cute Patriotic Bear and Bunny image is from Miss Ink Stamps.

I purchased it last year and hadn't used it until now.  I colored the image with Copics and added white gel pen details.

I then die cut the image out using a postage die from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I blended in a bit of color before removing the image from the postage die.  This card has made its way across the country to my sweet little "P".

This next card uses the ever popular postage die from Waffle Flower.

I discovered that these patriotic dies from Frantic Stamper fit into each of the spaces perfectly.

I don't send out a lot of cards for this occasion, but found myself playing around with these supplies that seldom get used.

I'll be entering one of these cards into the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes
Simon Says Monday Challenge ~ Red, White and / or Blue
A Cut Above ~ July Anything Goes

Have a safe and happy 4th my friends!

Lily Of The Valley ~ Double D

Greeting friends!  Double D Challenges is at it again with a new challenge.
Theme:  May's Birth Flowers
(Lily of the Valley and Hawthorn)
and Birthstone is Emerald
Be inspired by any of the three.

I pulled out this sweet Lily Of The Valley die from Frantic Stamper.

I mounted this delightful spring flower onto a stitched scalloped oval from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  There's a bit of distress ink rubbed around the stitched oval to add some contrast. The background embossing folder is "Garden Harmony" from Altenew.

The sentiment banner is from Simon Says Stamps, which was gifted to me by my dear friend Marcia.  Super cute!

My hope is that you'll visit the Double D Challenge blog and see how the amazing design team was inspired by the photo prompt:

To Spook or Not To Spook ~ Double D Challenge

Hello friends!  It's the first Wednesday of the month and that means that Double D Challenge is starting a new challenge, with the theme "To Spook or Not To Spook" or October Breast Cancer Awareness Month (pink)".

I chose to spook, but not too much, with this retired ol' ghost from Elizabeth Craft Design.

It's a little hard to tell in the picture, but he's cut out of pink cardstock to honor Breast Cancer Awareness month, with a bit of pink distress ink around his edges.  He's placed over a slightly larger vellum ghost.

This "not so spooky" ghost floats above the giant Patchwork Pumpkin from Honeybee Stamps.  I've added a spider from Frantic Stamper and a pair of batty friends from ECD.

Here is a little inspiration for you, put together by Diane.
You can probably see I drew inspiration from a few of these tiles.

Float on over to Double D Challenge for more amazing inspiration from our amazing team.  I can't wait to see your projects in the linky line up!
Here's the prize that you could win when you play along.

Little Bunny Treat Boxes

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail......

and right into my craft room!

I had been wanting to make some treat boxes and these little Assorted Bunnies from Frantic Stamper were jumping right out of my craft cabinet, waiting to be used.

I was able to use up lots of retired patterned paper from Elizabeth Craft Designs making these four little boxes.

The Sizzix Gable Box made quick work for the boxes and the fun medallions adorning the fronts.

I made a belly band for each box using another retired but timeless die, a stitched scalloped edger.  Sorry, I don't know what company it's from as I've had them for ages on a magnetic board, so no packaging.  I also used up more of the sweet patterned paper to complete the band.

Each little bunny is striking a different pose.

Once the boxes are filled, I will tie them closed with this vintage lace seam binding I've hoarded for way too long.  The color matched perfectly!

I also cut a trio of tags in coordinating colors to personalize each box.

While it's fun to give treats at Easter time, I know the true miracle of Easter lies beyond the cross, beyond the grave, to the Risen Savior.  My Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ!

I'll be adding these boxes to the following challenges:
The Sisterhood of Crafters ~ Bunnies and/or Chicks
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

House Mouse Tricks & Treats

Hello friends ~  I'm popping in with a little Halloween treat using one of my favorite critter friends from House Mouse Designs.

I found this darling image online and just had to print it and color it up using Copic Markers.  I inked the sky using DOX inks and added white paint splatters once it was dry.

Just for fun, I added a spider web and spider from Frantic Stamper, to the top corner.  I think he's trying to see what sweet treats Mr. Mouse has in his pumpkin pail.

The BOO die is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:

Vintage Easter Box Ornament ~ Double D Challenges

The Easter season is upon and my friends at Double D Challenge want to help inspire you.  There's a new challenge starting today and the theme is "Easter".

My make for this challenge was this sweet, vintage inspired Easter box ornament, using lots of found goodies in my craft room.  I didn't use any new supplies to make this, as I've made several of these in the past.

I've used the Passport Book BIGZ die from Sizzix to make the box ornament.  Unfortunately this die has been retired for quite some time but it's still one of my favorite dies.  I covered the outside of the box with a soft blue scrapbook paper and added some flower rub-ons from Stamperia.  The  flowers came from Hobby Lobby and the bunny is a die cut from Frantic Stamper.  The Easter banner is cut from a retired Graphic 45 paper pad.

Inside the box, you'll find this sweet image that was also cut from the Graphic 45 paper pad, along with a die cut chick from Dies R Us as well as a couple of sparkly Easter eggs from Michael's Craft Store.  I lined the inside bottom of the box with craft moss to give all the elements a place to sit.

You can check out the other ornament boxes I've made in the past:

Please stop by the Double D Challenge blog to see how my talented teammates were inspired.

Orange & Black Gnome Globe ~ Double D Challenges

It's challenge time over at Double D Challenges!  The theme for this challenge is "Orange & Black".

Gnomes are so fun!  Especially when they've moved inside a little globe I had sitting around. I wonder if they realize they're being watched??

I used Marianne Designs Gnomes, Honeybee Stamps Snow Globe and Frantic Stampers Spiderweb Corner to make this fun card.

The "Boo" is from Elizabeth Craft Designs Ghosts.  I did a little doodling around the outside edge of the globe and sponged on a bit of white ink to the inside part of the globe.

Now it's your turn!
Here's the photo to help inspire you:
