I started by stamping the peaceful ocean scene using Stampin' Up Sending Sunshine.  I added a palm tree from PTIs On The Wagon and framed it using Impression Obsessions Large Frame.

Sweet Watermelon Pops ~ Double D

Hello everyone.  Double D Challenges is starting a new challenge today
and the theme is "Colors of Summer".

I used Sweet Ice Cream stamps from Stampin' Up! to create these yummy watermelon colored summer pops.

The seeds are stamped using the drip stamp in the set.  When stamped in black ink, they look like watermelon seeds! The papers are from my scrap box and I added a strip of Ric Rac using a Sunny Studio border die.  This ric rac border die is now one of my favorite "go to" dies.

I made two summer birthday cards out of the paper scraps to add to my box.

Spellbinders Clubs of the Month Blog Hop

Hello everyone!  Sorry for two posts in the same day.  I'm participating in the Spellbinders Blog Hop so hang on tight and let's start hopping!
We're highlighting all of the July Club Kits today, so you'll be seeing a wide range of amazing inspiration as you proceed through the hop.

I've enjoyed using the Mini Slimline Envelope & Nested Card Creator (Large Die of the Month)and the Decorative Mini Slimline Card Creator (Small Die of the Monthso much, I couldn't wait to create with them again.

I cut 1" strips out of several colors from the Assorted Pack Color Essentials Cardstock and taped them together on the back using washi tape.  I cut the panel out using the largest die in the nested die set.

I then layered on two of the smaller rectangles cut out of white cardstock and the label die from Small Die of the Month, which I stamped using the birthday sentiment from the Clear Stamp of the Month.

I tucked in a few of the layered flowers that were cut using the Large Die of the Month.

Quilted Birthday Wishes ~ DRU

Good morning friends~ There's a new challenge starting up over at the Dies R Us Challenge blog and if you recall, the theme is "Anything Goes" all year long!
This makes it so easy for us, as a design team, and for you, as a participant!

Today's card uses this wonderful Sue Wilson Designs Die set from Creative Expressions called Make A Cake.  There are endless possibilities when it comes to layering this cake.
ETA:  I write my posts up months in advance and this particular die has been sold out, but there are a number of layered cake dies that are currently in stock now.

I cut the cake plate from the set out of gold mirror cardstock and added gold candy dots to bring attention to it.

The Lawn Fawn Quilted Backdrop gives it a crisp homespun feeling.

I hope you'll visit the DRU Challenge blog to see more inspiration from our amazing design team and join in on the fun.  While you're there, be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you can be one of the first to be notified of their special order events.

Clear Stamp of the Month ~ July 2021 ~ Spellbinders

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you've had a wonderful week and that you are looking forward to an even better weekend.  I'm popping in with a card I made using the Clear Stamp of the Month by Spellbinders.

I just couldn't get enough of this beautiful floral image and I wanted to try my hand at coloring it.  So I pulled out my Copic markers and added a few details using Prisma colored pencils.
The scalloped Happy Birthday was cut using the July Large Die of the Month Club kit.

Summer Gingham ~ Double D

Good summer morning to you~  Are you taking in all the summer sunshine?  I am!  There's a new challenge starting over at Double D Challenges and the theme is "Summer Gingham".  How delightful!

I've had this paper in my closet of shame for a long time and thought this is the perfect challenge to use it on.  I've been doing pretty well at using my older supplies that have been sitting around for years.  My name is Birgit and I confess that I'm a paper hoarder.

The Cottage Cutz Duckling with Kite is just too cute for words!

Small Die of the Month ~ July 2021 ~ Spellbinders

Good morning friends~  I'm back today with a card I made using the July Small Die Club of the Month from Spellbinders.  The Decorative Mini Slimline Card Creator includes 5 cutting dies that coordinate beautifully with the Large Die of the Month as well as the Clear Stamp of the Month.

I cut the detailed bottom layer using two of the dies from the Small Die of the Month using Waterfall Color Essentials Cardstock and added a scalloped layer cut using the Large Die of the Month and Lagoon Color essentials Cardstock.

I stamped a sentiment from the Clear Stamp of the Month onto the smallest die from this months kit and tucked a few flowers and leaves from the Large Die kit underneath.

I have a bonus card to share with you that I made using the Small Die of the Month and the Clear Stamp of the Month, to show you just how well the sentiments fit into that label die.

This card is so elegant.  It could be used to celebrate a birthday, wedding, anniversary or any special occasion.

I hope you've enjoyed today's projects and that you'll be inspired to visit Spellbinders to see more of the wonderful monthly kits they offer.

Large Die of the Month ~ July 2021 ~ Spellbinders

Hello friendly stampers.  I hope you're all having a fabulous day so far!  I'm excited to share today's card using the Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders titled Mini Slimline Envelope and Nested Card Creator.

I was thrilled to receive mini slimline dies to work with this month.  I'll be honest and say that I like working with the size of the mini slimline cards better than original slimline cards.  This months Large Die of the Month includes 16 dies that can be used individually or you can layer them up to create a stunning, detailed design.

For this card I layered up two of the scalloped rectangles, die cutting the Happy Birthday sentiment out of the center rectangle.  The dies are all separate so you could use any of the rectangles to stamp sentiments or images on them if you wanted to. The flower and leaf dies are also included in the set.

Look at those sweet layered flowers.  They can be layered in as many ways as your imagination can think of.

There are also two different sized fancy edged dies that fit the sides of the largest rectangle die in the set.  I cut two of each out of the same patterned paper to create a coordinating envelope.

A perfect fit!

I have one more card to share with you today, using this same Large Die of the Month.

I just had to use all the layers in the set!  I picked out some cool cardstock colors from the Assorted Pack Color Essentials Cardstock.

These colors coordinate so well together, and just look at the detail and dimension.

Here's a list of supplies I used:
