Rustic Christmas Tree Card #2

Following up on my last post found here, I have another rustic Christmas card to share with you today!

Since I still had Tim Holtz’s Winter Woodlands stamps and the Honeybee Stamps Lovely Layers: Trees on my desk, I put together another quick card! I even managed to finish off the very last scrap of paper from a 6x6 pad. There is seriously no better feeling than completely using up an entire paper pack!

To give the Honeybee Stamps Christmas tree a glistening finish, I pounced white ink over it and added a sprinkle of Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.".

Nothing fancy, just using up some scraps and feeling good about adding another Christmas card to the box for this season.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:

Just a quick reminder to go out and vote today.  ;0)

Pumpkin Chai Latte

Hello friends ~
It's cold and rainy here today so I've made you a pumpkin chai latte to enjoy.

I was mainly playing around with the new to me, Holiday Citrus Layering Stencil from The Ton.

Even though the Holiday Citrus stencil is meant fro Christmas, I decided to repurpose it for a fall card instead.

I popped it onto this large coffee mug from Marianne Designs and added a sprinkle of cinnamon to the whipped cream using silk microfine glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I'll be entering this card into the following challenges:
Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Time Out Challenges ~ inspired by the coffee mugs and warm colors

Sunflower Postage

Hi friends ~ I'm bringing you a little sunshine with this bright and cheerful sunflower postage card featuring Sunflower stencils from Waffle Flower.

I honestly can't get enough of all these fantastic WF stencils!  For it's first use, I stenciled both the rectangle and the circle images not knowing if I'd use them both on a single card, but as you can see I did.

I don't have the coordinating dies for this set, but I found that the Elizabeth Craft Designs postage stamp fit the rectangle image perfectly.  I also rummaged through the circle dies and found this Stitched Pinked Circles from Impression Obsession that fit pretty well.

I used the WF postage stamp stencils around the edges of an A2 card base, giving it the look of an air mail envelope and then stamped a couple of the postage stamp images from their postage stamp set.

I'll be adding this card to the following challenges:
A Cut Above ~ Anything Goes September

I hope this is Clean and Simple enough for the CAS Mix Up Challenge ~ Sunflowers.  If not, I'm sure they'll let me know.

Time Out Challenge ~ Seasonal Colors Where You Live

I chose these colors because we've had beautiful blue skies to set off the lovely yellow sunflowers growing in our garden right now.

Out of This World!

Good morning crafty friends ~

earlier this month my grandson turned 4!  He was right into watching some of the footage of Artemis II earlier this year, and has pretended to be an astronaut ever since.

I thought a fun outer space card would be perfect for him.

I made a pop-up card using Sue Wilson's Out Of This World dies from Creative Expressions and a pop-up die from Lot's of Pops from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

This was such a fun card to make for him, and he enjoyed seeing the fun pop-up when he opened it.

We paired this card with a rocket ship that he could build using a little battery operated child's drill.  Super cute!

Time To Shell~ebrate

I'm using the last of the die cuts that my dear friend Marcia sent me.  Goodness, they were all so fun, but this crustacean is a hoot!

The Happy Lobster die from Waffle Flower was cut from white cardstock.  I colored him with a coral colored Copic marker and then rubbed on Candied Apple Distress Ink.

I added some seaweed from Elizabeth Craft Designs that was colored using DOX inks as well.  I placed this little fella on a piece of design paper from Stampin' Up, and gave the whole thing some white gel pen accents and a healthy dose of white ink splatter from Spellbinders.

I am so pleased at how cute this turned out.  He truly looks like a happy lobster would look!

A Peek Under The Sea

Howdy friends~

Today I'm sharing a card using the Simon Says Stamp Fun Fish Dies paired with the Dotty Contour embossing folder.  These were included in the envelope that Marcia sent me about a month ago.

It was so fun coloring these fish up using DOX inks, blending different colors together to make these bright and sparkly fish.  Wink of Stella was added to make them shine.

The sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I adore these little fishies!

Honeycomb Sea Creatures

Good morning friends ~ The cards I'm sharing with you today are compliments of my dear friend Marcia, who sent me these adorable "Hey Honeycomb Fish & Crab" die cuts and the honeycomb balls that she got from The Greetery.

These sea creatures were so much fun to make, and I simply mounted them on this fun underwater printed paper from Stampin' Up.

Now, there is a stamp from The Greetery that says "Peel ~ Open ~ Stick!", but I don't have that stamp so I simply wrote it myself with a fine tip copic marker.  The sentiment I used on the other half of the circle is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I was so pleased that the sentiment fit perfectly on that half circle.

Here is the fish card with the open honeycomb.  Is that cute or what??

Here is the card I made using the Hey Honeycomb Crab.
I ended up having to hand write both sides of the circles.  My handwriting isn't that great, but it works in a pinch.

Eeep!  So cute!!  Thanks so much Marcia for the fun dies and honeycombs.  These were a blast to build!

Strawberry Season

Hello again!  I'm back today with a couple of cards that I made for the Double D Challenge, that I almost forgot to post.

I made these two cards last week using supplies from Simple Stories, a collection called Simple Vintage Strawberry Fields.

The strawberries are from Elizabeth Craft Design.  They continue to be a favorite strawberry set of dies for me.  I've mounted the strawberries onto some bits of ephemera from the Simple Stories collection.

Sorry that I don't know who to give credit to for the sentiment on this card.  It's super old and not in its original packaging any more.

Here is the second card I made using more bits of ephemera and strawberries.

I'm happy to be using up more of this sweet, summer collection to add to my birthday card stash.

Two simple cards made in a jiffy!

I'll be adding one of these cards to the following challenges:
